I wish I were there for this.
I'll start taking pictures of cops around town.
Like a pirate?
Recent polls suggest Bill de Blasio has taken a big lead in the primary. Is he liberal enough to put it in play for Lhota?
The Mark Green/Ruth Messinger effect:
-White liberal gets the Democratic nod.
-Blacks and latinos stay home on Election Day.
A little more to that since Messinger was just plain awful and Green couldn't beat Bloomberg post 9/11 with Giuliani's endorsement, but still...
if any of you guys work or live near the fidi area you should check out the dead rabbit. honestly some of the best cocktails i've tried. it's a pre-prohibition style bar. apparently the two bartenders were tending bar in london when a wall street regular told them he would finance them if they moved to the states. so they found an open building that used to be an irish pub (i think they're irish), took a year and a half off to do a lot of research on mid 1800s style cocktails, and then opened the bar. a lot of things i've never heard of. they use a lot of tinctures, sherbets, and half the drinks i've tried had nutmeg grated on it. been really jonesing to go back.
I have no idea who to vote for in this election. I don't really care for any of the candidates.
I know Lhota pretty well and he would be a great mayor.
Pretty solid joint. I was there for a Ford 's gin party. They won best new cocktail bar at Tails.
But he just looks too much like foodguy!
Ford's gin is my go-to at this place by where I live. The owner of the company hangs in there a lot too.
Lhota was at my subway stop a few weeks ago handing out flyers. Then I recalled him on TV all the time during the hurricane. And then I recalled the spanish musings of Miguel Bloombito.
good point but two wrongs don't make a right
