Walked by the Shake Shack at 11:45 the other day and there was no lineup. Zero. Thought they were closed. Had to have a burger. Not very good.

Could someone please stop Summer Streets?

    What about the shake, though?

Had the meatballs. Spicy pork. Not bad, not really good. The ice cream sandwich was nice, albeit unnecessary.

Yeah. Was actually in the mood for the noodles once you mentioned them, but my friend already made a reservation and had been waiting 20 minutes once I got there.

A tad expensive for what they are, but I like the atmosphere and appreciate their late hours of operation. I'll have to have one of those ice cream sandwiches next time I go.

Yeah, but we actually have to live here and there's only so much polishing you can do to a turd [IMG]

I was underwhelmed by Meatball shop. It had a very "Chain" like feel to it, very Olive Garden of Meatballs. Any place that hands me a pencil and has me mark options on a card has me wary.

I'll admit, I've never been to Shake Shack.

Me neither, but I have marvelled at the line many times. Couldn't pass up the opportunity. Burger (the smoke shack) was mondo greasy and the fries were absolute shit - frozen crinkle cut.

    Did not try the shake.

Clearly, pB is back, because it is hot and sticky and gross out.

Also, the F train has seemingly reverted to only using shitty old trains with busted A/C. I think it's related to the whole R train clusterfuck. Seriously haven't had a non-busted F train in three weeks now.

You need to fix that. Go to the one on the UES near gome with the new fresh fries.

Since I am back from vacation I am on my strict paleo diet again. I did have a quiche for breakfast yesterday, however.

this is annoying as all hell. I only like this if it's a sandwich place where you check a box and wait for your name to be called, or if it's the type of place that has like 30 different types of oysters. But meatballs, no.

the only meatballs that I find are exellent are my wife's grandmother's recipe. I could really go for some right about now. Damn it.

My grandmother made the best meatballs, but didn't all of our Italian grandmas make the best meatballs? But seriously the Meatball Shop tastes like a warm up Lean Cuisine meal. That is what it probably is too.
