I kinda call BS on that^^. Are you taking the Metro North into the city? I haven't been on a subway train in a long time w/o AC. I ride the 4,5,6 to meet with clients near GC(did that today) or down near the Wall St area(also did that today.) I take the F to/from work. Also catch the N,R to clients on the west side....I know not what you are talking about....

Must have real crappy subway luck because all the lines ter1413 mentioned along with the A/C/E/B/D/L/S/1/2/3/J/M/Z have had the AC every time I got on.

The few times I've experienced a no AC car it was always the first car and I would just move to another at the next stop.

well i was sort of full of shit.

however, I will say that Metro North has the FANS on but not always the coolant. So they keep the air moving but often it's still stifling. I have to assume that is cost cutting because it's been going on all summer

90% of subway time is 4/5/6 and it's not bad, I must admit.

    :bounce2:^^

I have noticed that when I get on the train in the middle doors vs the far left/right ones, it is always much cooler. More a/c vents...

Plus us tall guys are up there where the hot air is. I've noticed it's always cooler on public trans when I sit.

Maybe move to L.I.? It's been a few years, but I remember the LIRR as being ridiculously frigid :freeze:, as in people bringing along sweaters & jackets....

For me, the ultimate heat wave indicator is when you walk down into the subway and don't notice any temp difference from the street

I wore a seersucker today and am pretty comfortable :satisfied:

It's actually really nice out here in North Florida. You can feel fall right around the corner and I noticed on my walk to work the oranges on my neighbor's tree are coming along quite nicely. Can't wait to pick a few on my way into work this winter.

Flour tortillas really piss me off. I hate the taste.

I switched from a straw to a lightweight felt hat, but I am still wearing summer suits.

My pallet guy came in to my office today to present his invoice and then told me about his week visiting NYC. He was rapturous about the place, the food, the sights, the 9/11 memorial, Little Italy, etc. I asked him about the weather and he said it was wonderful, beautiful weather. Are you whiners in the same NYC that he visited?
