1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Seriously? I am about 45 minutes away and it is an amazing day. I think living in the tropics without central AC for 20 years made me immune to heat discomfort.

did your nipples start peaking out from under the moist shirt? be careful, sweaty natural fabrics rubbing against nipples are not a good combination.

it did get hot around lunch time. supposedly high 70's but it felt like mid 80's. But this morning and afternoon was a glorious day.

The Feast of San Gennaro looks even bigger than it was before. I heard some people on Mulberry were considering moving out!

That this POS trash "festival" is allowed to block an entire neighborhood for TEN days and fill it with plastic garbage and unrelated junk food is a definitive statement about the level of corruption in this city.

I suspect the San Gennaro is much more of a hassle than Occupy. Fewer people live in FiDi.

New Yorkers' definition of "hot" is pretty lulzy. Although I swear sweaters if it's in the low sixties, so I'm sure it's all relative.

I've always found it charming how the second the mercury drops below 70 LA people break out the long coats and scarves.
