the waldorf has been scaffolded for almost two years, a whole city block, even though as far as I can tell they are only working on one side. However, it being the waldorf, we can be sure it will come down eventually.

there's a building across the street from us (high end condo) that was scaffolded (not just sheds, nets all around the facade) for 7 years !! Some sort of legal battle between contractor, scaffold co and building...

ugh, and here I was ready to complain about the building on my corner. First 3 years I lived on the street it was covered in scaffolding. Even worse, it always smelled like urine under there, I'm not sure why since it's a fancy building.

any time you see scaffolding going up, my thought is never "oh neat, they must be renovating something", it's "oh hell, now I'm gonig to have to look at this for a looong time"

Perhaps Bloomberg has realized that the sun is harmful and this is his way of protecting the population.

I have seen those. Just very very rarely. And especially not on nice cars. I was surprised it would come up here.

sometimes you have to think really hard for reasons why New York sucks.

scaffolding def. gets a vote from me.

A good HOA would solve all that scaffolding eyesore problem.

nine thousand percent humidity today and for the rest of the week. It's actually going to get WORSE as the week wears on. Yay!

It's amazing to me that 71 degrees could feel so wretchedly uncomfortable.

Because some people have these things called "feelings". These "feelings" compel them to not want to see people get hurt. I've never really quite grasped it myself.

Yup don't know how the NYC clotheshorses here abide the 90 degree 90 humidity zero motion air in the subways.
