I've already seen that on some city busses
They're both Crown Vics, the cops' one is just an older model and perhaps not the elongated "limo" version.
I always though the exact opposite approach would work for NYC subways: rows of seats only in the middle facing the windows/doors.
Same; it works really well on the buses in my opinion.
In my personal opinion it should be, but that's only because I don't see the appeal in living in a non-global city. I realize some geographers identify SF as an 'Alpha city', but it's still not the capital of its respective country. I dunno, you lose so much going down a notch to these Melbournes or Machnesters of the world, I see more appeal to just living in the countryside.
Well, technically, New York isn't the capital of this country, either...
Shhhh!! Führer Bloomberg might be listening...
Not even the state! Neither is San Francisco...
Maybe you're doing it wrong? Rents are high in San Francisco because lots of people (at least relative to the available housing stock) consider it to be a very desirable place to live, not because of how it's classified by geographers.
I'm listening to WNYC's audio clip recap of last night's mayoral candidate forum. What a bunch of morons.
I agree that anyone who listens to that is a total moron
Take that back!
Well I feel like I really live here now ... scaffolding just went up on my building.
there's a fancy condo building (so glass + steel) around the corner of me that was completed not long ago (i'm guessing 3-4 years ago) .... aaaaaand already it's surrounded by scaffolding. WTF.
Scaffolding is the worst.
Makes an already crowded and sometimes suffocating city even worse. It's like I'll never see the sun again
