Hm, if anyone is gonna be around a H&M and can find me one of these in L or XL, i'd appreciate it. Sounds like a cool outerwear piece that isn't overly warm for Socal "winters"

The French make an F1 jacket that is similar in some respects, and I believe a closer fit. I'm getting one myself.

EDIT: The jacket I'm referring to is actually an F2.

    Thanks, looking now.

I find it hilarious that the French army has slimmer jackets. It just seems right.

I'm going to jump on this train too.

Anyone have any idea where I could get/how much the EG M65 is? It looks really nice.

I like the F2 but I'm having trouble finding it in black. There is no way that the French only make a jacket in olive drab.

OK, here's an idea ... what effect would black overdyeing have on an olive drab army jacket, like the F2? It seems like even if it didn't turn it straight up black, it'd be an interesting effect. I've never overdyed anything, though, so I don't know how it's done or how black it turns stuff.

    Sorry, not EG. W&H. It's $500.

We need to get some discussions going on garment and overdying. Anyway, they do make them in black. But they're hard to find in either color; supplies are relatively low, unlike M65s, and they supposedly sell rather well.

I found a bunch for sale in Camden market so if anybody's in London you can get them here. They were 7 pounds or something like that.

OK, that is a rad site. Someone with more initiative should start an overdyeing thread.

EG actually does have something that is M65-esque. It is in their latest collection on the website, although I do like the W&H one too.

I wonder how bulky the EG M-65 type coat is. It's hard to tell from the website, since it is over so many other layers, but it seems like it might not be the slimmest option.

I'd like to pick up one of the H&M jackets myself, but not being able to try them on in person is a bit of a deterrent.
