How would I play it subtly? I have an idea of what I would do. I wouldn't go charging in guns blazing. Also, I don't know that anyone at the firm knows about my history with the girl and to be honest, there wasn't much.

In terms of bitterness, I concede that I'm bitter about a lot of things related to work. I don't think I'm bitter about the girl dumping me.

    Your options are:

    1) Send it to this birds fiance and the bosses wife and post an update on here
    2) Blackmail the boss and hope to get a pay rise
    3) Leave the company

I recommend you do number 1.

I'm going to say what I said earlier in a different way: I don't know you in real life, but I have to imagine that doing this would be beneath you. If it's not beneath you, it should be.

You know, I hear you man. And part of me thinks that.

What about the guy's wife and the fiance? Honestly, if I were in either of their shoes, I would want a stranger to tell me ASAP.

If you take him down, are you on deck for his position?

No but the resulting power vacuum could be pretty interesting.

Do it and get out of there. Just knowing you created the inferno should be vindication enough, though full disclosure I'm pretty terrible myself.

My only addition -- if your occupation can be inferred from your nom de plume, you might want to consider the possible sanctions if you conduct is found out and reported to the state bar, perhaps by the person you tell on.
