Rather than drinking diet coke (yuck) what is the best lunch beverage?

    Water
    Ice Tea

Anything that one really likes for a business lunch other than diet coke?

That's about it. Water or iced tea, with a wedge of lime either way.

I have to be a little careful about the tea, though, as I don't normally do much caffeine. Three refills and I get kind of jumpy. When I know I'm going to be drinking a lot of it, I try to arrange for decaf.

I hate business lunches in which ordering a Jamies & water or a glass of wine might be seen as anything out of the ordinary. I do go for iced tea in those instances, however. Unsweetened if available.

Oooooooooo, sometimes I wish for a glass of wine or a beer.

If ciircumstances dictate otherwise, I go for water. Sparkling...

I also like Limonata. If you want "organic" soda, try Mexico's Jarritos: [IMG]

what is it with diet Coke? Is the taste so different from regular, or is everyone concerned with their weight? Not that I ever drink any soft drink/soda anyway... just curious.

I prefer the taste of diet coke to regular, although I drink neither. The only soda I drink is the occasional Dr. Pepper, and that is maybe once a month when I need a bit of caffeine.

To the OP's question, I only ever drink water which I really do love. At home I drink crystal light lemonade sometimes, but I really don't like sugary drinks in general, so when I'm out, I rarely have any options other than water.
