rate your kids

    No kids myself, but frequently ask people to rank their children for me from favorite to least favorite, and no one ever goes along with it.

    10 y.o. boy: affible,very pious- maybe a priest? 8 y.o boy- has a "knack" with girls- I could see him getting married pretty young (they all want to "take care" of him) 6 y.o. girl: miniature woman-very pretty- needs watching (dads know what I mean) 4 y.o. girl : high strung - the smartest of the kids but really flies off the handle 2 y.o. girl: very doctrinaire- the alles in ortnung type 7 m.o. boy: happy baby so who knows.

    2 seven month-olds - they're both spectacularly handsome, intelligent, compassionate and they love their parents to death. They're most likely in the top 0.00001% of the infant population on most criteria. Much better than most kids, including all of yours.

    Pretty early on I figured out my Dad's order of preference for his five kids. I was 4th out of 5...
