I got the Jantzen*3361, Blue Poplin with Lilac & Yellow Stripes, 110's, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton. It's a very light fabric but I'm fairly pleased.
In the spirit of hundreds before me I'll solicit input on fit. I went loose to start with because a loose shirt is wearable, an overly tight one isn't. I gave him measurements from an existing shirt which are good. The only caution is that I gave him the wrist measurement from button to hole, whereas he took it as the entire length of the barrel cuff.
It could possibly be smaller in the chest but I'm worried it will be restrictive on movement if it's much smaller. There is definite bagginess and extra fabric at the waist, though. Is reducing the hip size the way to go here? I didn't specify waist, just hip because putting both seemed redundant. Also, I have pretty sloped shoulders. Is it worth switching from slope to very slope? I have no idea what that actually changes. Thanks all.
