After extensively browsing the forum my perspective as change slightly

I'm looking for a pair of dress shoes that go well with (dark) jeans and other business casual like pants. Here are my choices so far, please rate them: This look sharp, I like the blue laces detail and the leather seems more matte. I think I don't like very shiny leather with jeans. I don't know if the brown ones would be more versatile though. Paul Smith: http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/shoes-217...productId=8249 Attachment 16093 Ankle boots seems a good option to. Cheaney: http://www.kurtgeiger.com/online-sho...heaney-jacky-2 Attachment 16094 ...though I'm still searching on this option. This a bit more "rough" looking. Paul Smith boots: http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/shoes-217...productId=8328 Attachment 16095 Thank you in advance for any pointers.

No fan of the blue laces, don't like option #3. So from these 3, I'd pick the Cheaney's. Although I'd prefer them to be darker.

Style-wise, #1 and #2 are both great choices. #3 looks hideous IMHO.

No idea what the construction quality is on Paul Smith shoes but fashion brands often offer inferior quality compared to 'real' shoe brands.

+1. Either 1 or 2, or better yet get them both. I don't like the rubber sole on #3 (or much else about it).

Your first option is perfect for jeans. Second is alright, third should be burned.

All 3 would go nicely with jeans.

Number 3 makes me think of upmarket hobo boots for some reason...
I like 1 the best

I like #1 for night time use with dark pants and jeans.

I love #2 for a more casual look or to be worn during the daytime (like Christmas shopping).

#3 should be killed with fire.

i'd be interested in what others (apart from your choice of 3) people would go for with jeans

I personally would go for your first pair, but then I don't know about Paul Smith shoes

I'm in tune with your oppinions, 1 and 2, if I can only buy one then I will go for the first option, the black brogue. 3rd gets a bit more crass everytime I look at it yes, that's why I usually wait a little bit for the design to "sink in".
