Maybe you're right. I should learn to take it easy on the elderly.

Alter, cool list! Especially the Rheostatics. Since you're in Japan, you might not be aware that they've called it a day after all these years. Last show with the current lineup will be in TO at the end of March.

Somehow I got lucky and the really embarrassing songs didn't show up.

I did hear that unfortunate news ( I still check http://www.chartattack.com/ daily to keep up with the Canadian music news).

Have you read On a Cold Road http://www.amazon.com/Cold-Road-Tale.../dp/0771014562 ?

    It's a worthwhile read.

Nope, but I just added it to my Amazon Wish List [IMG]

You got lucky and ended up with quite a non-embarassing list (GBV, Breeders, VU, Son Volt, Decemberists, B&S... ). What the deuce does Party Shuffle do anyway that's different from regular shuffle?

The only difference is that it creates an actual playlist that you can view in advance (as opposed to regular shuffle which doesn't indicate what the future songs will be). I never used it before today. It takes away some of the suspense factor of shuffle but it is ideal for creating a "10 random song list" for your favourite style forum! [IMG]

    HMMM

Winamp on shuffle. This is my movie computer, not my music computer tho, so I only have like 16GB or so of music on here. I'll post from the other comp later so we get a more diverse/obscure list. Most of this stuff is my bed-time music. (as the computer is in my bedroom)

1:Asuka Sakai/Adu Mizumori - A Crimson Rose and a Gin And Tonic (Katamari Damacy sdtrk)

    2: Air - Electronic Performers

3: Blur - Coffee And TV

    4: Lovage - Pit Stop

5: Boards Of Canada - Orange Hexagon Sun

    6: Cake - I Bombed Korea

7: Lloyd Price - Stagger Lee

8: Bombay The Hard Way - Satchidananda

9: Aesop Rock - Coward Of The Year (remix)

10: Tom Tom Club - As Above So Below.

That was more random than I actually thought It would be.

Edit: and because I'm bored and I like breaking rules, you are also getting 11-20

    Skunk Anansie - Secretly
    Air - Sexy Boy
    Danzig - Bodies
Aimee Mann - You Could Make a Killing
    Devo - Secret Agent Man
    Bus Driver - Sun Shower
Fine Young Cannibals - Johnny Come Home
    Fischerspooner - Fucker
    Dropkick Murphys - Dirty Glass
    Fiona Apple - A Mistake

    <3 Champloo.
Funny thing is I have never watched Samurai Champloo or even knew that song was the theme, untill after I downloaded it a while ago. My girlfriend met Jun Seba (Nujabes) at his record store in Shibuya when she was buying one of his CD's for my brother.

Boards of Canada are getting a lot of love in this thread; they are on 3 or 4 of the lists so far.

I guess I oughta check em out.
