Really crappy workout yesterday. Needed five attempts to C&J 125kg after I did it for an easy double the other week. Snatch was pretty terrible as well; had hoped to attempt 100kg, but after struggling tremendously to get 97kg, I didn't even bother. I don't know what was wrong, but nothing seemed to work.... I was slow and uncoordinated and everything seemed heavier than usual. Lost count of how many times I wound up on my ass after a miss.
another humbling day with the oly lifters. at least i didnt hit myself in the dick doing cleans today like w snatch pulls.
Eugh hate when im doing shrugs or T bar rows and I hit myself in the dick with the bar. Happens pretty much every rep with shrugs, but on t bar rows when im warming up and going fast it fucking hurts.
i take it if calves and forearms are sore, im doing it wrong
Don't really know much about oly lifting, but maybe the forearm soreness is from catching the bar? If your wrists aren't flexible enough it might hurt them.
might be from not racking it properly and holding the bar, but most likely than not it's because im gripping it when im really not supposed to iirc
www.strstd.com doesn't have any chart for chin-ups. Does anyone here know a site where I can find out how I'm doing?
Also, I feel that I would become too bulky if would exceed the 'advanced' mark so for now I'm just doing maintenance on the exercises at which I'm halfway inbetween intermediate and advanced.
What are your opinions on this? I wan't to look 'normal' when wearing a suit.

Not necessarily. I don't know what you were doing, but quickly accelerating a heavy bar upwards repeatedly will kill forearms, not to mention holding it overhead. Or even bringing heavy down from the rack to a hang. It's an entirely different force curve from a deadlift. Calves is probably just from getting used to the catch and utilizing calf muscles to adjust positioning and balance at the catch. My biceps often are sore after Oly lifting, even though they don't get used for locomotive purposes, primarily to stabilize the elbows. Oly lifting will use EVERY muscle in the body at some point to create force or stabilize, which if you've not done before will feel awkward and cause soreness.
