Yea true, I'm totally gonna do that.
If you want a bigger bench, bench lots and get strong triceps. If your reasonably strong and your only goals are to be a high level power lifter I don't know why you wouldn't just run westside. It sounds like you have quite low lifts though so you could probably just run progressive overload with some assistance until that stalls. Could just write your own program, if you know how your body reacts to certain exercises it's pretty easy.
Front squat static holds are intense. Holding double your front squat 1rm for 20 seconds is hard, come at me aesthetic upper back and abs. That tricep pump after 3x10 lying tricep extensions super setted with close grip bench press and finished with 3x20 tricep rope pull downs with 30-60 second rests hnnnnnng.
Edit: Also in regards to the bench press is a row thing. I don't know about geared lifts, but if your doing raw there is still shoulder adduction and elbow extension, it's not a row. Yeah a big back is important to give you a stabile platform to press off, but you still need a big chest and huge triceps.
This only helps if his bench is NOT harder at the bottom than the top, which I find pretty uncommon. Do quick rep sets of bench from chest up to 90 degrees and back down. That's going to work the pecs through the whole motion. Upper half of bench is arms and useless for chest building.
Men's health recommended 1.5 reps (up 1/2way, down, then up all the way) if you want to emphasize chest.
IMO the quality of the magazine has increased significantly as of recent. It gets a lot of hate for some bad workouts but most of the time it recommends big lifts as a way to get big.
Guy said he wants to be an elite powerlifter, I assume he is doing a narrow grip bench press with a large back arch where the triceps are used for the whole motion. Its not like strong triceps ever hurt someone getting the bar off the chest, they are still used a bit the same way that if your pulling the bar apart you should still feel the lockout in the chest. If he wants to get stronger off the chest he should pause his reps. Also as his bench is very low he should just bench lots. DB incline press if your doing it for aesthetic pecs.
Did clean and jerks for the first time ever today. Did them at the end of my workout because I was bored and had some energy left.
Decided to start at 95 pounds and go up til I missed.
Went 95 x 1, 115 x 1, 135 x 1, 155 x 1, 175 x 1, 195 x 1, and 205 x M. Could've gotten the 205 or more if I tried again. I was just winded because I was taking about 45 seconds break in between singles because I was pressed for time.
They're pretty fun!
Maybe I'll start doing them at the end Monday workouts here and there, and try to get to 300 pounds as a side goal. Like a mini quest in an rpg
This is a whole new side of you, man.
Yea exactly, the way i setup for bench it takes so much of the pecs away from the bench.
Is there any risks in taking clomid by itself? My gym bro is getting a bit of gyno, he's natty, don't know why he's getting it. That feel when your natural test is so high you need a pct for it.
Coldsnap, well if you want more upper body mass then maybe do assistance work where you do use your pecs like the db incline press.
My nerd side?
man I don't know where you trained but push presses (and often ohps too) are definitely on the 'do' -list for OL
he'll be okay. it might even boost his test
Been hitting the gym with real intensity lately, really enjoying it. I feel like ronnie or kai when im in the zone, ignoring everything around me. That is, until i look up in the mirror and think DYEL? This hard work needs to start paying off.
my review was posted, but they edited the part where i take the girl to the bathroom lol
Ah ok good, will let him know. Went to a doctor and they wouldn't do anything about it because it's pretty minor, but no one wants gyno in the summer.
intradesting video, thought it was quite good. No wonder the kid killed himself, just stopped mid cycle without pct, dad sounded like dr phil.
