What is foam rolling and why do I need to do it? Maybe because im still very young I don't really have mobility issues or knots in my muscles. 6th day of training this week more prowler and squats, getting shredded.
Did yoke walk instead of squats today. That feel when your outside and its pissing it down and you squat up a 200kg yoke and random bishes outside miring. Feel bad for my gym bro, triple body weight deadlift, 2.5 body weight squat like 1.5 bw bench, genuinely does not look like he lifts, maybe 11" arms?

had a new lifter come in today, first thing she did was confidently tell my coach that she's proficient in the lifts, just looking to iron out some techique issues as she's a trainer herself or some shit. Coach then proceeds to give her a bar and some technique plates to warm up and as it turns out she

now at this point I already had my doubts, but nonetheless inquired and sure enough she was a crossfitter. Coincidentally she had been on a 3 month oly course (yes, 3 whole months lol) at the local xfit box, paid her tits off for that and been told by the trainers that she had excellent technique. This was also the course I considered when I was starting out last september... thank fuck I did my homework and chose a place that actually produces national level lifters.
first I thought this girl had some nerve telling people she's a good lifter, but then I realized that it's not her fault. It's the shitty fucking coaches who taught her the wrong things, then said they were the correct way to go about things.. it sucks, for one because learned bad technique is EXTREMELY hard to shake in oly.
It's one thing to be involved in a niche sport, but it really sucks when it gets shat on like this.

how did she react when she learned that she didn't know how to do oly lifts afterall?
no she was cool and all, but it'll take a while to unlearn all those bad reps. Just hatin on the coaches for teaching stuff wrong.

e. after every workout I would let my rehbands soak up some sunshine while i stretched and what not. but yea they still stunk lol, especially since mine were hand me downs from my coach.

anyone drink only water? right now i drink a lot of pop/coffee and want to try strictly water for a month and compare the differences.
I drink a little bit of diet soda with my dinner and usually a can or two of the low-carb Monster. But I also usually drink a gallon of cold green tea throughout the day. I find that if nothing else, it has a huge impact on keeping things regular.
