Groin is definitely tweaked. I feel slight discomfort when I run or try to stretch it out. Went to the gym today and focused on upper body work, mostly without issue but could feel a bit of a pull when doing DB presses, presumably from pressing my core/back/groin down into the seat.
Does anyone have any brilliant ideas on how to rehab this injury? It doesnt feel like much more than a nagging pain when stressed, maybe a 3 out of 10 but I fear it could escalate into something worse.
maybe foam roll if it doesnt hurt that bad.
if it doesnt get better in a week or two, see someone.
Being in England, the majority of almost any brand's soccer shorts should do the trick. The waists are usually flexible, so just keep sizing down until uncomfortable, and those babies should be riding high.

Ice first. Lay on the very edge of your bed and hang your bad leg off the side, using the hang to let it stretch. Ice while doing that. 2x daily.
3x advil/motrin and 2x tylenol (with food if you have a sensitive stomach). 2x daily
Foam roll your entire leg (look up foam roll leg exercises) daily.
DON'T stretch for a few days.
Come check back after that.
Learn to bail on back squat: let the bar go with both hands at the same time and push your hips forward quickly. That should put some backward momentum on the bar and give you room to get out.
Christ this sounds dangerous.
Just wait till you're a at a gym that doesn't get its equipment destroyed. Or ask two dudes for a nohomo squat spot.
That's exactly what I wear when i wear shorts. Got my go to Barca shorts and some blue Holland shorts I got on the cheap at Nike outlet.
I suggest you get some side spotters if attempting a 1RM.
And if you think you may be bailing, you probably should use bumpers.
BTW - I missed this before, but did you actually refer to me as an e-bully?
Im beginning to hate my gym because of videos like this. A random string of exercises with plenty of rounded back deadlifts.
what in the fuck is that last exercise with the pulley handles.. jump squats are OK but that's with barbell on your back. That thing otoh looks like a shakeweight kind of deal.
I find the whole thing kind of surreal.
