Hah, I didn't know that was his actual GF. Oops.
lulz humblebrag backfire.
Hip flexor is fucking me up, had to quite squats for the 2nd time in 3 sessions today. Last time it was fine going relatively heavy at 80kg, no pain, then today, 4 days later, it made anything over 40kg impossible. Its only on one side. Keep having to change my plans in the gym because of this.
If it's constantly bothering you, you've got to change something up.
It's probably one or both of the following..
- Your form/technique needs cleaning up
- If you use a wider stance, you need to bring it in more.. some guys are just not built to squat wide
It never used to hurt. Stance is narrower than it used to be, probably just inside shoulder width. Even warming up with the bar was painful. Most likely is technique, but it seems kind of random how one time its fine, then i could take a week off squatting, come back and its totally weak as though i injured it the day before.
Today I did a set of 5 pull-ups at 150% bodyweight.... so 300lbs. If someone would've told me a few years back that I'd ever be able to do that, I'd have said they're crazy.
I also realized the other day that my O-lift scoop is pretty lame, probably leaving 5-10kg on the floor with my shitty scoop. A little more emphasis on that and I can taste that 100kg snatch coming soon....
Talking about how much someone lifts?!?? WHAT A DOUCHE
Also, a GF who would rather lift on Vday than do that other crap....KEEPER.
Obvious joke aside, that's pretty impressive.
As for the bolded part, I totally hope your right. My weak ass cannot do a pull-up at current, but am making progress little by little.
Just stumbled on this via Reddit:
No longer feel that ill anymore, strong recovery. Still probably am a bit. Gonna go disease this dickhead at the gym who always annoys me tomorrow.
Yes my first thought is potentially youre going too wide, but it depends on where exactly the pain is and at what point of the movement.
Have you also tried foam rolling (when you're in pain) and seeing if that reduces it?
Any pain when doing bodyweight squats?
My thoughts exactly
Completed OHP 3 x 5 at 105lbs which I have never done before. Then went on to fail at pretty much every assistance lift. Go figure.
I have a picture of my gf deadliftan but the last fucking thing i'd do is post it up here
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
because we were on vacation and she was doing it in the smith machine
cant tell if you're trying to troll hard or are serious.
in either case, sucks for you man
