ballpark = how much I weigh - how much fat I think I have on me.

What do you find problematic about them?

    Warmup set:
    135# 2x5
    195# 1x5
    215# 1x5
    225# 1x5

    Working set:
    235# 3x5

    Leg press:
    240# 2x10

    Lat pull:
    105# 4x6

    Barbell Curl:
    55# 3x8

Saw some dudes do this circuit for an hour:

    225# DL x10
    135# clean and jerk
Crossfit Pull-Ups (jerking motion with the legs swinging up like a crunch)

    Looked brutal but cool

Have no video camera, sisters coming home in a few weeks and she has one and comes to the gym with me so she can video it then. I think it's alright, I fall forward a bit and have a bit of a problem maintaining my arch on maximal weight, but I think its generally alright.

If you're trying to lose fat, you should ultimately probably up the carbs and drop the fats.

I'm carb cycling but my lifting days are around:
    3000 calories, 200-250g protein, 300g carbs, 100g fats

IMO - You are overthinking your diet if you are eating 5 different items for "breakfast". Also surprised at your fat calculation. Is there really that much fat in your chicken compared to the pork?

Ugh. I don't know why. My legs haven't been this sore for a long time.

Started running in my vibrams. Just doing an easy half mile for the first two workouts. Gonna up it minute by minute, i think. Coming at it from the perspective of strength training rather than running helps with conceptualizing progression: gotta keep good form, incremental progressions, make sure to warm up, all the shit you do when trying to push your squat #'s. It's easy to see why so many "runners" get injured though.

I have to figure out how to manage that. Probably won't be THAT high on the carb front though. Need some more sources of complex carbs too. Ideas?

No, there is only 1 more g of fat per ounce than in the chicken thighs. There is way more fat in the eggs though, and I'm also including the fat in the olive oil that I use to cook them. I don't see a problem with the diversity. I need more fiber in my diet so I'm trying to include as many healthy sources as possible. Vegetals are good, man.

It looks like I'll have to kill the peanut butter and switch from thighs to breasts. Also, change up the pork shoulder for something else. Apparently, cooked chicken breasts only have 1g fat per oz. That'll add up.

Anybody have good ideas for pre-workout foods? Want to shoot for about 30g carbs and 10g protein. Maybe piece of fruit and half can of tuna?

I enjoy a good vegetal as much as the next guy, but I eat them all at once and get that shit outta the way for the day without worrying about opening cans or sauteing every 3 hours. That's the general gist of what I'm suggesting. 5-6 different items for breakfast is unsustainable for me personally.

Whatever you want given your calories/macros at the end of the day are what you want.

Also, why do people still believe in the notion of "pre-workout" and "post-workout" bullshit. You energy levels and recovery and going to mainly depend on what you ate yesterday, the few days before, the week before, overall.

The best "pre-workout" is getting your diet dialed in and a cup of coffee.

If you're reading this and believe that your body is a finely tuned machine that has the capability of processing whatever you eat into energy an hour before your workout or if the hour after you workout is the "golden hour", you need to step back and do some research as to how the human body works.

^ This has always been my basic interpretation, just like last minute cramming may buy you an answer or two, but never truly determine the outcome of a test.

That being said, if I eat anything beforehand, I make sure I'm well hydrated and maybe grab a banana.

Same here. Coffee for the caffeine, water to hydrate, and a banana because it's yummy.
