Layne Norton's got some pretty decent powerlifting #'s... I'd be surprised if styleforum dismissed him as a bodybuilding kook.

Yeah PHAT isn't strictly a BB routine. Still have 2 days of the week where ill be doing heavy tripples in the squat, deadlift so at least I won't be wasting my inzer gear. Doesn't have barbell bench though, only DB. Still have a hard time believing he's natty though.

Finally got to a triple of paused bench presses with 300.

Wanted to the third set but my right bicep/shoulder were killing me from shitty hand offs.

305 next week and hopefully 315 x 3 three weeks from now.

    Sick.

I'm not trying 315 again but know I got it the way things have been going. After this deload week, 5/3/1 weeks go as: 260, 275, 290. ideally i will go 290x8-10 :slayer:

    Shoulder issue too?

290 x 8-10 would be nice. I think the most I've done for reps was like 275 x 10. But that was after some heavier paused work. Doubt I could get 290 for any more than 6 reps t-n-g right now. I have a huge endurance issue when it comes to reps over 5.

naw, shoulders been feeling great. I think everything started falling into place when i stopped pressing more than once or twice a week and doing facepulls and rows 3-4x a week.

sometimes my elbows flare up but i wear sleeves on any pressing day and it seems to be doing ok.

Speaking of shoulder issues... it's about time I make an appointment to get my right one checked out. Made the stupid mistake of throwing a soccer ball down the field again and it's been killing me all day. Skipped bench/pullups today and could barely do squats (had to use a super wide grip).

I'm pissed.. if it's not good news it's prolly gonna end up costing a shit ton... initial visit for a referral, visit to a specialist, MRI, PT... :fu: (not to mention laying off the training).

Mostly I'm angry at myself. I think I have a good idea of how I got to this point. I blindly followed shitty advice given to me at the gym a year ago when I started bench pressing and had no idea what I was doing.

Bah, weights that I lifted easily last week were barely making their way up today. Hate those random weak days. :fu:

Usually that means too little sleep for me, esp. if everything else is the same.

Id go look online for some tests to see what it could be. May be able to fix yourself unless its a bone issue

Your shoes could be the reason you lost balance. Are they running shoes with a lot of padding at the heel?

Try squatting in something like chucks or even barefoot next time.
