    While on the topic of coaches: I have been working on my squats but still only doing 150lbs 5x5, I weigh 170lbs and I suspect that the lack of squat prowess is related to suspect form. I dont have any confidence that the Crunch trainers at my gym are competent to work with me on form, they seem to always have their clients doing bizarre workouts. Does anyone have a suggestion for a coach in Manhattan who would be willing to do 1-2 sessions with me to work on squat/deadlift form?

    switching things up with ex, going for a straight size routine now. just got it... looks like its gonna suck in the best way possible :slayer:

    You gonna curl bra?

    Considering trying progressive overload with the preacher curl to see if it works for it for funzies, probably not gonna put on 5lb a session, but I bet I could put 5lb on it a week for a little while.

    My uni gym is closed most of tomorrow so I worked out today instead. Makes me see why Rippetoe, Berkhan etc, say to work out only 3x a week. After deadlifting 295x5 on Wednesday I could only make it to three reps today, tried to do one rep at 315 (almost 2x bw) and failed.

    Some random old guy was mirin my squat form and I talked to him a little bit. He's 55 years old, probably about 20-30 lbs overweight and is doing Stronglifts. Boss mode achieved.

    I'm most likely going to sell some of my suits. The pants have become so tight that I can't keep my phone/wallet in them. Also, when I get up I have to pull them down since they stick to my thighs.

    That said, i have had 1 pair which was very tight and I had the seat let out. But I believe in most cases you can get atmost an 1" out.

    thanks - I'll check it out. Is the squat replaced with something else on Wednesday?

    Squat is replaced by deadlift on Wednesday. As in SS, you only do one workset of the DL but you do it AMRAP.

    Can be done well or it can be done retarded, most everything depends on the coach. Unfortunately the cult attracts a ton of 'coaches' who don't know their shit.


    Produces hot women, yes.


    Which has been true ever since the first bipedal humanoid used a barbell-shaped object for strength training purposes.

    Am massively jelly of black man at the gym who squats 50kg and curls 30kg on the barbell with shit form and just walks around the gym doing his cross word not really lifting anything. He looks great though, ripped as fuck and pretty big. Feels bad standing next to him deadlifting 180kg and looking worse then someone doing wrist curls.
