    There was a video posted in this thread a while back about a dude who broke both wrists while snatching and fell backwards on his elbows but made a ridiculous comeback a year later.

    Anyone have the link?

    and that's why I never clean with straps (not that I could even if for some reason I wanted to).

    Well, as I've no doubt mentioned many times before ITT, it's harder to bail with them. From the vid it looked like he wasn't able to dump the bar in time, which is what you need to do if you receive a clean too far back. The other option is to just fall back with the bar but it's a shitload riskier. That's a bit of a weird looking injury too.. it looked like there was time to dump.

    And I don't mean any disrespect to Zach, who's by all accounts a premiere lifter.

    Obviously if you have 160kg coming down on your elbows while they're on the ground, you're fucked straps or no straps, witty SF commentary notwithstanding.

    Watch those squat/dead numbers skyrocket with the new setups/technique.

    Once stuff stalls or form starts breaking down again, let me know. But I don't think you should have a problem for a bit.
