    No, up to a point.
    Yes, but slow.

Again, everything is very context-dependent. If you're a guy who has never touched a barbell, you can expect some major strength gains even while on a cut. If you're intermediate, everything becomes harder and you might stagnate even while eating at maintenance, and can expect little in the way of strength gains while cutting. If you're an advanced lifter, shit is incredibly hard, but I doubt one needs to worry about maintenance and cutting at that point.

To clarify, I'd qualify <1.5 bw squat as doyouevenlift, 1.5-2.5 bw squatters intermediate and everything above that advanced. Just my way of illustrating the differences in my categories.

Lol I meant because generally conventional is strong off the floor and weak at the lockout so if your missing it on the floor your probably weak from there or the weights just too much, but yeah I phrased it like a retard.

Im training with a record setting powerlifter who has pulled well over 700 in competition, so I dont think programming is the issue. Thanks for the constructive advice paired with a minor dickwave, though.

Fooj man its definitely sticking off the floor, i can lockout anything if it moves right now. Gonna see what the boss says, probs gon get on dat deficit deads

Managed to aggravate both of my shoulders in a span of 24 hours. Right shoulder was while playing indoor soccer as a goalie, threw the ball awkwardly. The left one... before lifting today I decided to do a boxing conditioning class with one of the trainers (terrible idea to begin with, it wore me out). Had to skip pull ups and OHP.

God damn it. My gimped shoulders hold me back so much. :fu:

I went through the same thing. Then I cut back on pull ups, got rid of any sort of straight up overhead pressing, and quit throwing the football around, and my shoulders feel much better and I run into much less aches.

Strangely enough, throwing crap bothered me the most. A 15 minutes of tossing the football or a few innings of pitching, and my right shoulder would be screaming.

I'm still a scrub when it comes to lifting so while I can understand cutting back on pull ups, would cutting back on OHP really make sense for someone like me?

Hi thurr Brett Favre. I'd check out your throwing form, your shoulder shouldn't hurt that much. Feel free to throw a vid on here (preferrably slowed down and paused at key junctures, I don't have any video software anymore) and I can try helping. I haven't played enough recently to keep up my 40-50yard throws. bah.

You should stick to SS. You aren't even at bodyweight on all your lifts, right? Or am I confusing you with someone else?

Quick google search, I only found this to be a routine I may look into.
It incorporates everything I have done thus far.
I wouldn't want to do powercleans unless I have someone proper next to me, which I will not be the case

I am just going to assume when I check my weight today that I will be about 150lb or less.
And no I am not at body weight with lifts...check edit ^

And another NYR, I am going to be more consistent in adding weights each week. Perhaps I'll bring a notebook this year to log-in

Have cut down how much I eat recently so that I don't get fat as fuack, but can still gain. Does this sound reasonable for what I ate today? Feel kind of hungry.

    Pre workout
2 english muffins, about quarter pound of roast beef, some cheese and a banana

    After workout
    3 scoops of whey

    Dinner
Half pound of rice 1.5lb of steak

    After dinner

6 eggs and a few slices of ham and 500ml of yoghurt
half pound of rice, half pound of beef.

several apples and oranges throughout the day

Does not feel like enough to gain on, feels kind of like a recomp.

Stick to IASPBR, will get you more aesthetic then SS will, which will leave you with small arms, small chest, weak upper back, but a beasty lower body. SPBR has good accessory work.
