You'd be surprised. Most I've seen, it seems like the test is within +/- 2-3% for most. But I've seen some guys that are clearly 15+%, say they're 10%. And I've seen guys that are clearly sub-10% tell me the calipers told them they're 15%+/

I just read all that. I want my life back. Also, anyone who believes in Crossfit should be culled from the population.

Nice photo at the top. And I just read about Crossfit's cult of injury the other day, too.

When you guys squat do squeeze your traps / shoulders to help support the weight? I think too much of the weight is ending up on my hands/wrists which may also be because the bar is too low.

My favourite part of cross fit is rhabdo the clown. Because training inexperienced people so hard that there muscles break down and poison there kidneys is just lolz.

Yes, unless you have a huge upper back with enough mass the bar can just sit there then you have to squeeze your shoulders together to form a shelf for the bar. If your don't the bar will slip back and rest on your hands.

I pinch and rotate my shoulders pretty hard for both high and low bar.

I ignored this as a joke, but a quick google tells me otherwise. Mind = blown.

My gym offered me a 1hr free pt session with one of their trainers, no strings attached. I figured if any of them had any powerlifting experience, might be worthwhile, otherwise I'd just politely decline.

Well, my 1hr is tonight with the only competitive powerlifting trainer... mildly skeptical because (not to sound like a dick) she is a she, she is significantly younger than me, and she only weights 120#.

You're entitled to your scepticism, but there's a female PLer at my gym who squats like 165 kg and picks up 170kg for an easy double. At a bw of 56kg no less.

At least you're not paying a dime, so in the worst case you're just wasting an hour of your time.

Agreed. I've got girl gym buddies who put most guys to shame if not in weight, with great form and lifting focus/intensity. If all else fails, maybe she'll be hot and you can enjoy the
    company ha
