    the problem with crossfit is crossfitters. the amount of "bro, you should be doing crossfit" i got at the uni gym where i used to lift was infuriating. i swear to god these guys only jerk off when they look in the mirror after they've made some awful video montage of them being in the zone. i dont have anything against something that gets people involved in weightlifting. its more of a "the people who know, don't say. the people who say, don't know" kinda thing.

    edit: hahahah now i know i was pissing my pants laughing for exactly 24:61, holy shit that was terrible. read the youtube comments from some of the people defending that stuff; just shameful.

    The way they deadlift in that video kind of looks like they're trying to lift an atlas stone and put it on there knees or something. Pulling for 30 seconds is just retarded, not hardcore.

    2nd good bench workout this week. After not training it for like a month it's gone up quite a bit, so has my row. I don't really have a set routine right now since I don't really know what I can do so im just kind of doing an upper/lower split and doing what doesn't hurt on the day, bench press doesn't hurt at all so I've been going pretty heavy on that.

    Today I did

    bench 5x5
    close grip bench 3x5
    Dumbbell rows 5x5
    Face pulls 5x10

    Upper back looks like a face right now. Wish I could start overhead pressing again though.

    Time to go ~CRUSH~ box squats and, hopefully, chained squats!

    Today's plan:

    - 385 x 5 + 5 for box squats (parallel depth)

    - 385 + 90# in chains x 3 + 3 for free squats



    Time to pump myself up!

    Felt a lot better on squats today. did 3x5 @ 225, last two sets stalled on 4/5th rep. Turning my feet out to about 45 helps tremendously with everything.

    Isn't this more of a sumo stance that transfers the load from your quads to your glutes?
