It's going to be really hard to get on for the first few months.. just the nature of the best. Just be glad you don't have a double prong like I do :(

Haven't really done anything to break it in, im guessing when its broken in ill be able to go down a couple more holes. Ill spend tomorrow trying to crush it a bit.

Got my wrist wraps so I can bench press pain free again. They hurt a bit, but not too much, changed my bar path a bit. Made me bench much lower and in more of a straight line instead of close to my neck, first set I used them in went shit, which was sadly my 1+ set, which is the important one, but I did some doubles afterwards and they seemed to help a lot. Massive bitch to put on though and they hurt too much to keep on between sets.

Deadlifts went as I thought it was going to go today.. hit a wall on my second set of 3.

Been going up 10 pounds a week for a bit and finally hit a wall.

    455 + 90 pounds in chains.. first set, 3.. second set, 1.

    Good day overall though.

thanks for the feedback. I ended up going with the Body Weight workout to start. I love doing dips, pullups, and pushups, so this is ideal for me.

5/3/1 feels so weird....in and out in maybe an hour (or less) and only 3 exercises. But I like the lack of thinking and, as jarude put it, fuckarounditis it exposes you to. Just do the program.

Good tricep workout, I alternate between this and close grip bench.

Just came back from the gym. Pecs and triceps day, complemented with a couple of leg exercises and the usual set of 4 different abs exercises. Would post the routine but I don´t really know the terminlogy for many of them, in english that is. OF course I know what bench press, squats and some others, but not the rest.

At what age do you give up the sole focus on weight training and focus instead on cardio and some weight training? For me it was 31.

For me, hopefully never.. my coach is 53 and is still a ~700 raw puller. Crossing my fingers I'll still be training heavy at that age.

I started with cardio, then had a mix (but too much low intensity cardio and too much high rep weights) then dropped most of the cardio for about 8 months but i missed it, so now I'm at about a 50-50 split.
