Random health and exercise thoughts

    I just do weighted chins on press days for very low reps, maybe 5 sets of 2 or 3 and good mornings on squat and dead days for 5x5 after the 5x10 at 50%. Seems to work pretty good. Started using the cambered bar for the good mornings. Been training the good mornings as a movement recently. Apparently its pretty dangerous, but im doing them in the way fat, balled, white men do with knee bend and much less back bend.

    Thinking of doing a meet in december, theres a sign up at the gym advertising it. I weigh 190lbish, maybe a little less. Could probably pull 180kg, squat 120kg and bench 85ish. Not sure how embarrassing those lifts are. Pulling 170kg and squatting 110kg for singles now with a golds belt, so im thinking with another month of training and the new inzer belt that those numbers are pretty realistic. 385kg total is pretty shit.

    Numbers doesn't matter at a meet. Go for it and you will probably learn a thing or two :slayer:

    Need to check if the way I bench is legal, ill ask some of the powerlifting guys at my gym, pretty sure its not. I always get depth on squats and I don't hitch on deads so thats ok. I think there might be a minimum total to compete at the meet so ill have to check if I qualify as well. Do I have to buy one of those really stupid looking singlets and wear really high socks?

    Getting back in tomorrow after a month off. Going to start with cardio and stretching. I feel like a 70 year old.
