Hence why I call him the Twig Asian. He just walks around with a boss swag. I would not be surprised if he truly does weigh about 120-130 at 5'9"~.

Thanks to my new nocturnal scheduling, I have a 31" waist, 41" chest. I never feel hungry anymore. Am I a tapered beast or just a skinny fruitcake? Can't decide.

    got dat groin pain

Started today with deadlifts. Didn't feel it until the end of my workout. Didn't do any dynamic stretching. My flexibility is generally pretty shitty and let's face it, I'm weak. Got a pretty good idea what to do before next time but little idea what to do now so I don't wake up with searing pain next to my ballsack tomorrow morning or the morning after.

    TIA

Had a chocolate peanut butter pie tonight and have eaten Ben & Jerry's every night this week. I love IIFYM.

Are you pulling sumo or conventional? Never heard of groin pain with conventional if your using proper form. How much weight are you pulling?

I'll be honest, Eason, at first I thought you were ragging on the guy who was leg pressing one set of plates.

Shit, with a 3" ROM, even my weak ass could squat that weight.

BTW, who is the new avatar. She reminds me of a Blade Runner-era Sean Young.

I still don't get the assistance work for 5/3/1. Triumvirate, I mean should you keep track of your weights? Are you trying to exhaust yourself or are you just doing reps to use the muscles? The book is so vague here it's no help.

    Boring, but big bra.

I'd log the weights and slowly increase them, but do like your 10 rep max on sets of 8.

Used to do boring but big but I like doing DB bench instead of flat bench.

I think it's because I hate benching with anything less than 225, makes me look like a puss. If I'm not doing at least 225, I don't want to be seen on the bench. :embar:

I don't have the book handy at the moment, but in general, Wendler wants you to do your assistance work in a way which improves your main lifts. The issue totally is, of course, that BBB vs ZERO assistance work depends WILDLY upon the individual and he talks about both extremes. Wendler would also not have you performing assistance to failure and ironically enough pull ups to failure got me to 15 reps when nothing else would. I've tried most of his assistance schemes and modified a few of them and at this point I find that personally the assistance I do isn't a big deal. However, close grip benching definitely helped me out.

I would say this about his program - the program is an assistance "theory" (focus on bang for your buck lifts that improve your main 4) and a main lift periodization. It gets me in and out of the gym quicker and I appear to have no issue staying pretty lean at my current laughable strength (given to my by Wendler), however maybe I have a thyroid issue or some shit. I eat whatever I want and what I want is fairly healthy, but still contains ice cream and whatever meat I feel like.

This. Anyway, woke up fine today. Just sore in the usual spots on the legs and back.
