Functional strength as I used it specifically referred to grip strength for a deadlift, so while your diatribe may not be wrong, it isn't in response to my argument - which would be: good fcuking luck pulling ropes and pinches loaves to improve your grip on the deadlift.

This is probably my weakest day aside from my bicep exercise. Ugh felt really down today, unmotivated. My squat is so shit. And it didn't help that today 3 strong men came in and easily squatted 225lb +, watching me squat 65lb as I got to the spot first lulz

1 of the dudes look like this, not bald though:

HE was FUCKING STRONG!! Reminded of Lord of the Rings dwarf

So far my lower body is significantly weaker than upper body. Biggest improvements is in my bench and bicep.

Damn I feel like a bitch.

Can anyone give me a good ab work out? Been doing leg lifts so far 3x10.

And how about some accessory exercises I can do lightly while I wait around for my bro to finish his work out? I use to run but may stop that as I have dropped to 145lb :fu:

    Things I do are like:
    Pull ups/chin ups
    Push ups
    Barbell forearm curl

You're 145 now? from what? I'd say you need to eat man, any program won't do shit unless you provide your body the calories it needs to recover from the movements.

I don't think it's anything to be sorry about. It's just different viewpoints.

For example, I don't think multiply lifting is "cheating" or any less respectable than raw lifting. They're both amazing sports and take heart, skill, and strength - just a bit different in the latter two categories.

I'll see some raw guys in the back in the warmup room of meets watching geared guys lift and some of them will downplay them and talk shit and call it cheating. Then I tell them to put on a suit and try what those guys are doing.

You want to focus on strength? Ditch you bicep curls or limit them to 2 light sets of 10-15 per week. It's mainly just an aesthetic movement. You see a lot of strength athletes not even do them because of that reason.

Kinda sick of Kettleball work. I think i'm gonna mess around with some barbell complexes. Should I just do 5/3/1 and put them on top of that?

if the GHRs are giving you trouble, do something like this:

Just do the negatives and hoist yourself up by pushing off the floor. You'll soon be able to do full reps.

I've been wanting to try glute ham raises for ages. The lat pull down thing seems like I good idea since my gym doesn't have a GHR machine. I don't know if I'd be able to do one though. Are there any advantages of them over say straight leg or romanian deadlifts? I've noticed that as my weight on the romanian deadlifts has gone up I've transitioned to more of a straight leg deadlift.

Girl I haven't seen in a year or so complimented me on how much bigger I got. Feels good bra.

I really can't say much on GHRs vs SLDLs/RDLs - less work for the lower back maybe? They are a real bitch though, that's for sure.

I'm looking to change my eating habits. Nothing drastic. Just breakfast. I've skipped it for the past three or so months. It was alright at first but lately, I feel too tired in the morning. What is the healthiest breakfast from the three: toast, pancakes, or waffles?
