Random health and exercise thoughts

    I have a beach party this Saturday. I want to shed a lot of water weight before I go to look cut. After some reading the basic gist I'm seeing is:

    • Drink lots of water every day so my body gets use to shedding a lot, stop drinking the day of.
    • Cut carbs a few days before
    • Take diuretics

    Still lift. Cutting now (and for the foreseeable future). Not fun.

    Yeah, I dunno, I have no idea. I find a slew of authoritarian articles without the expertise to parse them.

    I lost 3lbs eating complete shit within my calorie range -- the bemoaned 'as long as I hit my macros' thing, I think -- and am looking for something better as marriage just doesn't agree with my old dieting ways (basically eating Mediterranean, but with severely limited meal plans).

    Stopped lifting (and basically any cardio) after taking several classes this summer to try and graduate. Lost ~10 lbs and gained some belly fat, yesterday was the first time I've lifted since May and my entire body hates me

    There have been times when I have gone a week or so without lifting because I was traveling or sick and when I start to lift again the soreness is off the charts. Especially after leg day.

    I know this wasn't directed at me, but I'm loving NC as well.

    I have a pool party tomorrow as well. Timing is pretty good as on Saturdays I do a long fasted ride in the morning, followed by my upper body workout. So I'm gonna be pumped and dry. Should be a good time.
