There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I think it is because of the pressure when you exercise... it is bad for the eyes after surgery. Ocular hypertension is very important to keep at bay...

Think this is the main reason. It was certainly why I was told not to exercise after lasik. That and no contact sport for 6 months!

Thinking of doing a mini cut to get a bit leaner, and from there go on a longer weight gain again.
Have gained weight continuously for about a year and a half so its feels like time for a break before I go on.
Will not do a harsh cut, just take it slow and maybe lose 10 pounds to 195. If training suffers I'll prob stop.

Recovery from PRK is kind of rough and can be very discouraging at times. Keep using your drops an don't panic when your vision doesn't seem to get any better or suddenly gets worse. For me there was never a point where I "felt" any better, it was more just a gradual realization that "hey, my eyes aren't bugging the shit out of me as much as they used to"

Please I'm open to all suggestions, I just want to be slimmer than I am, I need a way to get rid of my moobs and my gut. However, I don't want to gain muscle, I just want to lose the fat.

Im 5'7 136 lbs currently, any suggestions are welcome.

    Thanks.

Was May of last year. I remember being really bored and irritated because i couldn't watch or read anything without great effort or discomfort. It's funny how fast being able to see clearly feels normal again though!

Do you squat everyday?? Hehe... That powerlifter physique. Nice job dude. You are 6'4" right? Does your coach cycle in any hypertrophy work or it is straight up strength? Also, I remember you advocating shorter bulk/cut cycles once upon a time... Could you expand on that? And, for that matter - I have an event where I'll be shirtless in front of all my coworkers in 10 days, what's the best way to drop as much as possible in that timeframe?

If you're trying to cut as much weight as possible in 10 days you might as well start licking dirty assholes so you get a stomach bug and can't keep anything down for a week.

Yeah, I'm 6'3 so look normal in clothes still.

I do plenty of hypertrophy work if you can call it that, especially far away from competition. The prep period the last 6-8 weeks or so before the meet is more specific.

Typical "off season" training means a bit higher reps in the powerlifts (with less specific variations that focus on weak points) and some more accessory work that are BB movements in the typical 3-5x8-12. For instance, now I train 4x a week and squat, bench and dl every session. Those are not regular powerlifts though. Last "bench press" was 5 reps of competition bench supersetted with CGBP for 3 reps, in 6 sets. For squats I did dropsets (5 reps dropset 5reps) and for deadlifts I had triples in deadlifts supersetted with fives in deficit deadlifts. So the powerlifts are modified to fit the focus of the training cycle (with higher specificity gradually until the meet). In periods we cycle in blood flow restriction, like earlier this summer I had 3x a week 5 sets of 20s in the squat, on top of regular squats every session (and deadlifts). That was very effective for leg size.

Each session has 1 exercise each for abs, low back and sometimes rear delts and always another 2-3 typical BBing lifts like incline db press for the usual 3-5x8-12.

I don't think the length of the weight gain matters. For naturals its more that it will be beneficial to never let yourself get too fat. If you've been fat before (say 20-25%) your body is more prone to store excess calories (bulking) as bodyfat, even after cutting to low bf %. Maybe its easier to not become fat if your weight gain is shorter, but thats another thing.

That was exactly was I was thiking when I read his question... but I wasn't going to post it :p

I don't think there is not much to do in ten days that would actually make a difference whenever you take your shirt off... if there were something so quick, I guess we would all be doing that.
Maybe someone with far more experience than I do can suggest something that would work and is healthy.

By the way, I just watched something on the news that caught my attention. Apparently some scientists in UK have discovered how the genes for fat storing work in the human body and now will try to "reprogram" our genes so we can "liberate" fat instead of storing it... from what I gathered this would be use for people with severe obesity but I thought it was so cool... could you imagine if you could go to a clinic so they would reprogram your genoma so that you can eat whatever the hell you want and not store fat??? Still I would be "scared" if they touch something they shouldn't but the option itself would be awesome... and profitable as hell...

I was thinking more along the lines of weigh-in strategies that people use to make weight for a day and then bloat up again... But licking assholes is great too I guess??

Google weight cutting for fighters and cutting water weight. Do at your own risk...
