no space no power cages no half-decent squat racks no stations solely for deadlifts/cleans no hammer strength machines no legit plate-loaded leg press machine dumbbells only go up to 50-60 pounds in most gyms (luckily my gym has up to 100.. but still crap) benches suck [IMG] oh and to top it all off gyms average around $70-90 a month for the weakest of weak gyms

Do you see yourself staying out there or eventually coming back to the states? IIRC, you're around my age (25).

I'll definitely be back in the states sooner or later. seoul is different and fun and all. but nothing like home sweet home.

plus, there's going to be a point where I'll be deadlifting 600+ pounds and my gym isn't going to let me drop that on the floor lol

Lol. That's so true. All the Korean exchange students I see at school are exactly in that category.

U.S. has the best & cheapest gyms in the world. One thing we are still good at. Of course we need good gyms, we have no health care. [IMG]

When I left China, we didn't have gyms for public use. Will have to see when I go back to visit this summer.

I'll pm you when I get my boxes in. I only got thin mints, but I should be able to send a box out your way. I'll let you know when I get them. (I'm restricting myself from carbs, so 3 boxes of thin mints sitting beside me all day won't do me any good).
