Hit the scale this morning and I went from 189lbs in late october to 200lbs today and my waist and hip measurements have gone down by 2 inches on average.
Also, lifted at the new gym again. I'm still not used to seeing other people train like they do there. Pretty much everyone seems to train for powerlifting or just strength and its a really nice and relaxed atmosphere. People are much friendlier and more open to help you out and share a rack than in commercial gyms. No bicep guys staring at everyone and flexing their abs in between sets.
the only negative thing would be that I'm the weakest there.
The guy that I spotted for his bench the other day had his Max Effort day today. Geared up in suit, used ammonia caps and benched 660. An older man was psyching him up and filmed the set and discussed with him afterwards. I guess thats his coach.
Saw some girls who were really strong. One of them did ATG speed squats with 225 pounds + chains and then did some snatch grip SLDLs with 250 for reps. Pretty crazy.
Also, girls who are slim but can squat heavy have very nice bodies
Baller. Living the dream, man.
Spoke to one of the guys at the gym today.
Turns out tht the guy who was benching heavy held the IPF world record in 2012. Also, the girl is the 3rd strongest powerlifter in Sweden in her weight class.
Pretty cool.
Also, everyone wears compression gear and lifting shoes and are stronger than me.
**** off back to mfa, n00b. (just playing, welcome to the thread)Really want to start lifting a bit more seriously and figured being a bit more active on this thread would help me stay on track. So... hi! Started lifting in April, along with some running and swimming, but wasn't too consistent. Put on about 15 lbs though, so I must be doing something right. Currently following Greyskull LP per a friend's suggestion, but I think I'm still falling under "untrained". Big 3 are 125/170/215lbs, all at 5 reps. Starting pic for January: Here's to what's hopefully a great year!
****... I can't handle mfa anymore. "Hey guiz can you hook me up with this cartoon character's outfit?" seriously wtf.**** off back to mfa, n00b.
