1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

so i found a trigger point in my tricep/brachioradialis the other day. didn't think much of it, but i kept hammering at it. popped some aleve yesterday and raped myself with the knobbler all day, then at a random point later in the day... no elbow pain. did it again this morning, no aleve, but post hot-shower... no pain. i can feel it stiffening up even 10 minutes after a hot shower, but this is promising!

i am curious as to 1.how i missed that over 6 months 2. how multiple massage and physio appointments missed it over 6 months 3. if this is actually the root of my issues and i can get back to training as usual. i'm going to assume it is and get back into some upper work starting tomorrow. i am really fucking excited.

so, TK, remember when you said you wondered what it'd be like to go down to absolute dyel and get to shredded greek god status? i'm about to find out :slayer:

Go see a PM&R doc, complain of trigger points, and ask for a prescription for massages.

Yeah pretty much. They might be reluctant to give muscle relaxers(since all those do is knock you out anyways...they don't even really act on muscles), but most docs would be all about prescribing you something that isn't surgery or a narcotic.

They might just give you trigger point shots as well. Those are often helpful. I'm sure TK could speak better to that though.

Well I certainly don't want narcotics, that shit makes me so nauseous and I don't think I'm at the level I should be getting surgery. I do know my deadlift stalled when this started.

Oh, definitely. Trigger point injections can be extremely helpful and if you use a local anesthetic(like lidocaine) they can be of diagnostic utility as well. Usually the relief lasts a bit longer than physical methods like foam rolling or massage, too.

Super excited for this program. Also surprised to see I have the option of becoming dual-boarded in PM&R and Emergency Medicine.
