1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

i pulled my lower back two days ago from deadlifting (again). it was incredibly painful that day but i woke up the next day and i can walk around, but it hurts a little to bend my back even 10 degrees

any suggestions for recovery and how to do deadlifts without killign my back?

definitely record a video or go to someone who knows how to deadlift and ask him to fix your form. you're probably starting with your hips too high and stiff-legging the weight up and/or hyperextending at lockout

Why are you eating as many calories as Ronnie Coleman?

because it helps me put on muscle and maintain/lower bodyfat

mrchariybrown, if you don't mind my asking, are you on the sauce? I don't know anybody who can come in within a saltine of 10,000 calories who isn't juicing, or is named Michael Phelps...

I don't mind at all. nope, I'm all natural up to this point. to be honest though, I might start in my late 20s or early 30s. but I've still got a long ways to go, so no need to worry myself with those things at the moment.

How much lean mass you carrying, Chairy?

    probably somewhere around 170-173 pounds.

Averaged out over a week, his caloric intake is probably relatively normal.

I thought it would be but it's far from it. I'm averaging about 3300-3800 calories/day depending on how well my cheat day goes.

It's not for everybody, try it, like it or not, it can work.

    what this man said.

try it for a month. if you like it and works for you - great. if you don't like it or doesn't work - do something else. it's not rocket science my friends.

it's quite pricey if you want to do it right, that's for sure.

I'm not too sure to be honest. I'm just a bit odd.

What's an average day of eating like for you, Charly? Your cheat days are becoming the things of legend, but I'm wondering how you hit 3,000+ calories a day on clean food.

haha I only hit about 2400-2500 on regular days. I average 3000+ over 7 days with the cheat day.

Deadlifting before homework is a bad idea. So I went on SF anyways.

W/o clicking the link, I assume you are referring to Greg Valentino or w/e his name is. I did chest today. I usually start with barbell bench press, but I decided to start with flyes to warm up/pre-exhaust myself a little bit. To my surprise, my bench definitely was better. Did 305 for 4 reps and 325 for 3 reps clean.

I usually just stretch and warm up with 135. But I decided to do 4 sets of flyes using light weight today.

Was at Whole Foods today and saw this girl with a body that was oh so thick in all the right places- I ended up saying hello and getting her number after a short conversation. Turns out she does Crossfit, and invited me to join. Now I'm wondering, did I get the digits because I'm plummer material, or because she's going to try and sucker me into some fitness membership.

Anyway, how does this Crossfit shit work in terms of premiums and what not?
