1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

After I followed Layne Norton's horrific "science-based peak week protocol" which resulting in nothing but disappointment, I've realized that when it comes to this shit experience seems to trump degrees.

I don't disbelieve that this is a good method but I'd like just more confirmation/linkage than some random bro on the internet.

Isn't that exactly what everyone is doing with all of these trendy diets anyway? At least with my method even if you didn'tose a single pound you got some good sprinting sessions and didn't damage your metabolism.

Chances are, you have abs in there. You're just not lean enough to see them. They'll be there, tho. Just gotta believe.

If muscles had personalities the abs would be so awkwardly shy until they came out of their fat closet and then they would become flamboyant divas.

When I flex I see them some, but I have that thing you see on skinny guys where it sinks in on the sides and they look narrow, unless that will fix itself when I lean out too. Thinking I should forgo a strong taper and work oblique to help balance out my pelvis and just go for a thick look.

3 sets of planks and then planks on each side (do body weight until you get up to 1 minute at which point add 25 lbs and work your way up to 1 minute and then add 10 more lbs etc. etc).
3 sets of 20 of these:
Then if you have a TRX, go to failure doing jackknifes left, then middle, then right.

it was what my physical therapist recommended i do to recover from pelvic diastasys (which basically involved getting a stronger core without doing any crunch-like movements).

The only thing i added were the middle jackknifes.

I've been doing that ab routine GN posted every day as a part of my stretching routine. I think it will protect my back and hips in the long run.

I'm not sure of the name of the exercise, but I would add in what is essentially a vertical leg raise (done from a dip bar or whatever, raise your feet as high as you can slowly, lower and repeat). Works the top of the motion instead of the bottom. I also like ab wheel rollouts because they're fun :]

I miss high pulls, such a fun lift. You found lots of core development from them? Makes sense being a pulling variation, but I found more benefit in my upper back

I yoked up quickly but my bro science opinion is anytime you
Are bracing your whole body to throw hundreds of pounds up into the air your core needs to adapt. On a side note do don't know if my abs are overdeveloped, I have a lot of visceral fat or both but my abs are thick and visible

Not trying to come off as a dickrider, but iham is the same height as you, and i've personally seen him row 200+ bench 3 plates, and deadlift and squat more than that, and if you havent seen the pictures he's posted he's juicy aesthetic manlet status...so you can probably trust what he says.

proof is in the pudding so to speak

My guess is that the effectiveness of this depends how much you're doing it with. I added in a bunch of accessory ab work because my squats, cleans etc are not super high (therefore probably not working my abs that hard) and I definitely noticed a big improvement quickly.
