1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

514s, plain black t-shirt, adidas crew. Not big enough for phaggy bro-tees crew.

My wardrobe is basically tailored clothing and jeans/t-shirts with almost nothing in between.

What's the consensus on Romaleo sizing?

    Go 1/2 size down?

TBH @GraphicNovelty Slim tapered jeans don't look great on you, too

You should go for a 19cm

For the size some of you dudes are, straight fit is fine not to be confused with bootcut.

@mrchariybrown You mentioned it a few times now but does your SO make tees for anyone for sale?

Gahhh... I don't want to be that guy, but this is the Internet. Dan's actually pretty anti "Rippetoe hip drahve". His competition squat is low bar, knees forward, and fully quad dominant. When he's training sub max, there's no butt rise/chest cave. If you see it happening in a video at a meet, he'll be the first to tell you his technique was off.

We haven't thought about it. I could ask her if she'd want to scale down my pattern for different sizes.

Would be like $150 shipped I'm guessing. Pretty much like a $350-400 Rick Owens tee but with better, more substantial material and all hand-done.. and of course, a it more room in the upper block.

I sold @APK an older one she made me for when I was around 195 pounds I think (still got a bunch of those laying around), for like $50 I think (just to recoup cost of materials and shipping). He could comment on the one he got if he chooses.

The ones she makes me now are of slightly more substantial material.. and also more expensive lol.

Completely off topic, but wanted to get the RHET bros' opinion.

    1. Bought a $400+ item from an international seller on B&S with a LOT of positive feedback (zero neutral/negative).
    2. Guy promptly ships it out and a week later, I see it being delivered to a completely different city via tracking.
    3. Guy claims he put down the right address and gave me the proper tracking number and says he'll follow up with his local post office.
    4. Here we are a month later and they are of no help.
    5. Seller is offering an 80% refund because apparently he somehow doesn't feel 100% at fault here.

I don't see what *I* did wrong and now I have to take an ~$80 hit? Wat do?

Don't settle for 80%. I'd threaten paypal report if he doesn't budge.

This guy doesn't print his tracking through paypal? If he did, the label would still be available for viewing.

The 80% refund is not cool in my opinion, you should get all your $ back.

How does everyone here organize their training logs?

I'm a fan of the graphed notebook, I put the date, then list all the exercises and reps and sets.

Contemplating moving everything over to an excel file.

I keep a log on another website

I am thinking about getting a cheap Android tablet for a few things... one of em being to keep a formal log

I mainly keep it all in my head though. I'm down to 11 movements for my whole routine so shit is pretty simple.

I sound like I go on repeat now, but I would advise soemthing with higher frequency than a P/P/L.

Coming from Stronglifts, you're used to squatting, pulling and pressing in the same workout and can handle the stress that comes with it. Why would you then want to reduce of often you train a muscle / lift?

It's been shown tons of times how muscle protein synthesis in natural lifters go back to baseline levels after only 48 hours. That means you can train the lift and muscle again after that to maximize growth. It's also beeen shown that doing a ton of sets for a body part in a single session gives no additional benefit over doing fewer sets, for a natural lifter.
All these body part split comes from HIT training used by drug enhanced lifters.

Also, I'd make as little change as possible to sustain progress. Just saves time and you will know what you're doing.
I think something like the Texas Method, Sheiko or how most full body RTS-templates are setup.

Look at the study Coldsnap posted.

I've mentioned that Norwegian frequency study a couple of times here before. Very interesting as you say.
I've hear of the final results of the study, but never the in depth numbers and statistics.

More strength by higher frequency was pretty given for me, but not that they gained more size as well. That's very impressive.
Another take home message is that they never train even close to failure. They used 75% of 1RM for the big lifts (around 10RM) but only did between 3-8 reps. That's very similar the percentages used in Sheiko and other russian routines.
I've seen an interview with Carl Yngvar-Christenssen and he said something about how most of his training was basically high freq, mod-high volume and very light and just focusing on technique up until the peaking.

Some of Dietmar Wolfs old routines are available on the net, but they're written in Norwegian.
My routine is a basic version of the this, modified from a Stronglifts start point.
    Every session is like this:
Bench / OHP => Squat or very close version=> close bench version => Deadlift or very close version => upper back work, arms, abs
If I have time on rest days, I'll front squat to a top set of 1-3 reps, some tricep / chest hypertrophy (usually dips or flyes), more upper back work, abs and single leg stuff.
