Welcome to my life for the past 9 months (not varicocele, that sounds painful AF, but rather, Symphysis pubis dysfunction)

My routine has been as follows:

    A:
    Bench
    Face Pull
    Dips
    Plate loaded Iso-Row
    Chin ups

    B:
    Incline Bench
    Wide Grip Pull-up
    Bicep Curl
    Flye

    C:
    Machine Leg Curl
    Machine Hamstring Curl
    Seated Calf Raise

For the C day, i've been moving to machine hack squats and straight legged deadlifts, but that is by far the most meh day. Maybe add some bike intervals? Also, can you do planks without pain? Because isometric holding exercises didn't aggrivate my injury and increased my abdominal strength immensely.

    Seriously.

Bacon/beef mac and cheese followed by chocolate dipped in peanut butter.

That's my standard advice for gym tag-alongs who complain about not making progress.

    1)Eat more
    2)HTFU.

Dinner last night was 1lb (frozen) chicken, .5 lb broccoli, .75lb strawberries, .5 lb Greek yogurt w/ 2 scoop whey. Plenty of food and I didn't blow my calorie count on it.

    Today I did the unthinkable...

Told a patient not to squat more than 30 degrees. :(

    random exercise thought:

"Cleans will come naturally from power cleans as you increase the weight and need to catch lower"

This is true, but for a long time when I was doing power cleans I wasn't pushing back my ass on the catch, and thus just catching with slightly bent knees. Of course, as I increased the weight, rather than catching lower in a proper front squat position, I was forcing my legs wider and wider apart.

The solution is to always make sure you're catching in a front squat position, whether you're doing a power clean or going for a full clean.

Always go to the gym in the morning but was traveling today so went in the evening. Crazy crowded, had to work in on the bench. Never realized how good it would feel to do 5 reps at 235 when the guy working in with you (same size) is struggling to do 155.

I am cutting. At 185lbs from 190lbs. Wendys and Chipotle fit pretty good PWO in my macros with the high carbs and everything, it's only the fat I have to watch. Didn't account extra meal, but body probably wants it anyways had a high volume deadlift night.

Random thought: Are you still going to make strength gains even if you're not grinding the last rep of the set? IME, no, but I suspect, in general, this is wrong.

    Show promoter called me today...

I might be the only competitor in Men's Novice Bodybuilding. Fuck. Guaranteed victory but it means going on stage alone and no actual competition. Alternative is to do Men's Open and possibly get my ass thrashed by folks going for their pro cards. Really not sure which way to go.

Also I think either way I go I'll do crossover to Men's Physique, since apparently they've had good turnout for that. It just means disregard legz. :(
