I've been having re-occurring anxiety dreams where I'm trying to find a gym but I keep getting lost, or there's nothing but machines in them, and it's getting later and later and my gains are leaving me.

I don't think so. Maybe, but I always planned on cutting down for summer at least a bit. Could've been talking out of my ass, I don't really filter myself when I post to RHET.

EDIT: That probably changed when I signed up for beach volleyball, actually.

these feels are very familiar, that's basically my life currently as well.

if you don't mind me asking, you looking into grad school or what (since you're optimizing your GMAT)?

Got a shitty haircut yesterday.....god damnit. There goes my newly acquired self-confidence for the next couple weeks. I need to stop being a cheap shit and just shell out the $50 for a decent one instead of taking chances with those shitty bargain chain places. I figured my hairstyle was simple enough that the lady couldnt fuck it up...I was wrong.

Shitty haircuts are the worst. Hugely frustrating.

I've had my share of bad ones so nowadays I just shell out for the best there is in the area and it's more expensive here than in the US, especially the products. Still, it's always worth it.

I've had the same stylist now for 1.5 years and we're finally coming up with something good. Costs me 60 bucks though and I get it cut every 5 weeks or so.

I've found that going to a real barber shop (5 old dudes sitting in a room hanging out) is far more consistent and you'll get a better haircut than spending $25 at a salon just to have a cute chick cut your hair. Most of those girl don't give a shit about cutting a guy's hair and don't know much about it either.

Ugh, first time trying DLs at 305 and couldnt quite lock it out due to grip failure, would have had it otherwise. First time my grip has failed. Weight probably isnt high enough to justify switching to mixed grip just yet. Thoughts? Maybe I should get some chalk?

On the positive side, hit 188lbs on the scale today. A full 55lbs higher than when I first started lifting. Still pushing to try and get up to 195 before cutting.

I'm looking to start applying to b-schools next fall (2014). I spoke with the owner of a small PE shop yesterday who said he would be okay with taking me on as an intern that fall, but has to talk to his business partner about it. His last intern went to Goldman then Blackstone. :slayer:

That 1.5 years gives me enough time to get some classes under my belt for an alternative transcript, knock the GMAT out of the park, get two levels of the CFA completed, get a bunch of volunteer work in and move up at my job.

I'm gonna be 27 then which is old for b-school but I'm also a career changer so it makes sense. I think this will give me enough time to position myself to get into a top 10.

I go to a salon, but a nice one, pay $55 including tip. Have the same girl cut my hair, she's amazing at it. My hair is so hard to cut that when I find someone I stick with them.

305 is good weight, esp if its more than 1.5 your BW, no shame in a mixed grip at that level. When I used to do deads and warm up to working sets I would do a mixed grip at 315

If you are not competing there is no shame in straps either. If you want your grip to move up with your deads you have to train it separately. Or have big Joe Rogan hands/wrists

    Currently feeling these feels.

Currently doing the following hypothesis test

    H0: B1=0
    H1 B1>0

B1 is defo not 0, its fuck loads of standard errors away from 0. Linear regression is the shittest part of stats.

fuk yah just rejected h0 at a 5% significance level.

yeah cool, sounds pretty legit. don't know about b-school but on the academic side (phd econ) the top let's say 50 are picky as all fuck. better have dat dere perfect GPA and LORs from no less than two nobel laureates. b-school boards will probably like that work experience and CFA whereas what I read no one at the PhD side gives one shit about that.

I'm looking into doctoral studies but I'll let my internship this summer decide whether I love academic research enough or not.

.. guess you won't be much into econometrics then lol

Contemplating switching to accounting and finance next year instead of econ because it's easier and by that I mean it doesn't have econometrics, either way i'm definitely switching from maths and statistics. Only problem is a&f sounds poverty as fuck compared to econ or maths and stats even though the a&f course and econ are fairly similar.
