Lotta times the no abs thing is water retention. In sitting at around 8% bf but after a particularly salty meal have shit for abs and love handles.

Hmm, right. I do eat a fair amount of sodium. I'm gonna get stricter and just eat mostly chicken, fish, eggs and salad and a small amount of carbs around the workout, then carb load once a week. Hopefully speed up the road to 10% obviously its easy to get down from 20%.

I meant to kill your kidneys. If you're overloading and taking 20g a day, I could see it having a detrimental effect.

but in your case though what you ate was clearly pretty much different from your normal meal, no? so it wouldn't surprise me at all that you'd get that. i honestly do not think water retention is as much of a problem for ppl not dieting to contest shape that popular opinion would suggest.

but hey what the fuck do i know im a weightlifter.

While its true to some extent that large fluctuations can change your amount of subcutaneous fluid, your baseline salt intake is important, too. An extreme example of this is our heart failure patients. We put them on low-salt diets and they can lose several pounds(sometimes quite impressive) over a couple days. They've been on the same diet for years, but just dropping the salt some makes a tremendous difference.

Increasing your own water intake and cutting out carbonated drinks can make a big difference, too. You can see this literally overnight. Weigh yourself on the morning after a normal day. During that day, up your water intake to 1-2 gallons and don't drink any sodas. Stop drinking at about 6pm(or you'll be up all night peeing). Weigh yourself the next morning...there will likely be a difference of a couple pounds and you'll be noticeably leaner.

Actually, it still doesn't do any damage to your kidneys at all, you just piss out the excess.

No but actually it does. My kidney function, according to my doctor was fine before. And then creatine came along (was dosing about 15g monohydrate/day), and my doctor said it was putting a lot of stress on my kidneys.

Been cutting for 3 days. Water weight has gone down quite a bit and I'm at 195lb probably mid teens bf%. Hoping 185lb and shredded. pull ups felt easier today, sets of 12 were nothing. Went for a nice walk around london going to 5 different boots to stock up on ephederine. pharmacist at the 4th one was being suspicious as fuck of me and as I paid for it the 3 other receipts from boots fell out of my wallet, was lolzy as fuck. Already banned from buy it at my local boots, which is a shame. Skipped the first week and i'm just gonna do 20mg +100mg of caffeine 3 times a day.

fuji cant you order ephedrine online?

I was in denial before but I think I am done with this liquid diet shit. Its good in theory but wifey tried it today and said she damn near puked. Now I look at it and dread drinking it. Its really nasty. Also messy as hell to make everyday. I will def take it into consideration for my cut though

Its funny cause I can have boneless chicken thighs daily no problem. Just put bread crumbs on and I'm good to go. But ~2 weeks of this liquid diet shit and I'm basically done. Takes just as much time to measure and shit as it does to prep chicken. Fuck it. I tried though. Expensive experiment (prob like $400 between vitamins and 12lb bags of carbs/protein). I think I did like half. No mas. Costco tonight.

If anything came from this it's that I need to be more focused with my diet. I was trying to bulk on maintenance calories.

Well you can, but you can only get 1 pack per order. It's significantly more money to get it illegally then from a pharmacy too.
