1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    a word about the old VS shoes, they have huge heels like 5cm. Got some pretty decent knee pain from squatting in those, switched to the more moderate adidas shoes and everything felt so much better.

    I think I can manage to keep that hidden for 45 minutes. I'll be fucked if I have to do an assessment centre and have to do that for more then a few hours.

    I don't frequent this thread daily but Fuji seems to be posting about his future career options here more than he does about lifting. It may just be me but I don't really get how its relevant.

    I'm actually taking an HR course at the moment about staffing and recruitment methods. The application process for the big companies in accounting and finance is indeed quite insane.
    I don't wanna work in HR, but the it's very good to know for when I'm going to apply for jobs.

    It's amazing how much psyching yourself up for a set helps.

    warmups:
    bar = stiff
    95 = ok
    135 = heavy
    185 = heavy
    225 = heavy

    worksets: RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWRRRRR oh light as fuckkkkkkkkk

    Making sure I focus on hip drive made me like back squats a lot more. Front squats for the quads.

    Thinking about hip drive makes my hips go up first and the back sags

    It is, but you'd be surprised at how many people complain about soles wearing down, etc., then it turns out they were too lazy to change in the gym and were wearing them outside.

    Completely replaced bent over barbell rows with Pendlay rows. Making all kinds of width and thickness gains. Highly highly highly recommend making the switch if you're struggling to put mass on your back.

    I had a friend who came from Essex to London to see me once and we were going to lift together. Couldn't be fucked to bring 2 pairs of shoes so he wore his bright red and yellow dowins and walked from kings cross to tralfalgar square. Such ugly shoes to wear in public anyway.

    Interview was fantastic, best one yet by far. Was supposed to be 15 minutes, went for 45. Interviewer really pushed me and asked me a lot of technical questions even some statistics stuff because I showed that I had knowledge. Got along with the guy really well, hopefully get an invite to an assessment centre soon.

    My back and traps are thick and juicy as fuck. Unfortunately, years of compound lifts only have left me with relatively sticklike arms.
