You have to realize i'm a total n00b at this. I don't even know what a food scale does, or how it works.

    :puzzled:

Do you know what a scale is? Do you know what food is? Put food on scale.

Well, duh. I understand that much, haha. How do you use one to your advantage in the fitness sense? Just knowing the exact amounts of food you're eating?

Yup. I can't just stare at a plate of chicken and say "yup, that's 200 calories" or "definitely 20g of protein there." Helps with consistency and accuracy.

    Unsweetened vanilla almond milk

    :fu:

    OMG so tasteless

It's like water with vanilla extract.

Almond milk has no nutritional value. The calcium is added after the fact. Absolutely no reason to drink it unless you like the taste... and I'm guessing you don't.

I drink plain almond milk usually but the mentioned was in the fridge. It has 0 sugar so thought I'd try.

Unsweetened for a reason, and it tastes like shit! Lesson learned.

I've been having a glass a day with some vitamins or mostly fish oil pills. Since I cannot digest milk.

    No, it doesn't.

Mark, this website and a food scale are all you need:

    http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list

    As for chicken breast:

    http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/s...+Changes&Qv=.28&Q2020=1.0&Q2021=1.0&Q2022=0.5

each ounce of cooked chicken breast has roughly 45 calories. Each ounce of raw chicken breast:

    http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/s...show=Apply+Changes&Qv=.28&Q2016=1.0&Q2017=0.5

    Has roughly 32 calories.

If you have any questions with this shit, let me know.

First day back in the gym in three weeks. Ugh, my strength fell through the floor. Must have lost a good 3-5 reps on all my 50lb dmb lifts.

On the plus side, I hit my 10lb of weight loss. Not too fuckin shabby for 2 months of concerted dieting and only about 4 actual weeks of gym work with no cardio. Come at me, diet knowledge.

Rambo, the cals are different depending on if it's frozen, raw, or cooked. 4oz of FROZEN chicken breast is approx 110 cals. This is straight from the bag of frozen chicken I have right now, lol.

    What are good core routines?

I only know of ab wheelouts, blast straps fallouts, landmines and woodchoppers that can make me feel a burn. Leg raises seems like no kick. Tried hanging knee raises, felt weird, more like I'm moving my knees than using my core.

Also, been curling in the squat rack past week. Major lolz from gym buddies.
