    Could just be muscle soreness, you can't expect not to feel anything in your lower back after deads. It is an active muscle in the movement. Mine feel pretty shire right now. So do my glutes and hamstrings as well.

    Dunno, just doesn't feel like typical muscle soreness but I'll just give it a few days rest and see how that goes.

    What do you usually do for warm up before deadlifting and what do you do after as a cool down?

    IME Lower back soreness feels worse than other types of soreness.

    I've had that dull ache as well a couple of times after PRing DLs. It was just doms and went away after 2-3 days every time.

    Search "best lower body warm up ever" on youtube and pick the one with the girl in the pic, from the channel flexforall. It's a very in-depth warm up. Has helped me enormously for getting depth on squats and general lower back and leg mobility. My ROM is a lot better on all types of lower body lifts after doing it.

    I just do 10 mins of static stretching after the lifts. For lower body it's: couch stretch 3 min total per leg and then half a minute each for hamstrings, glutes, lats, calves and lower back.

    I usually deadlift as a warm up and then sleep and eat to cool down.

    Was a Uniqlo "Dry" from last year. Never took it out of its packaging until last night. The whole "look a lot more swole than I am" effect seems to happen with a lot of tanks imo

    I'm just saying, you're probably over thinking it. If your form is good you shouldn't be worried about lower back soreness, it is going to happen. You wouldn't be worried if your biceps were sore after curling. Lower back DOMS are inevitable, your spinal errectors are resisting a fair bit of weight when you deadlift. They feel really shitty because it's a pretty big muscle and you can't really relax them, you're lower back is always in use. You should be able to tell if it's just soreness and not actual pain.

    I know the difference between soreness and pain and right now it's more of a pain in the lower back/spinal region than pure muscle soreness which is why I wanted to double check with you guys to see if any of you experienced it (I guess I didn't make any of that clear). I probably am over thinking it and I definitely will give it a few days of rest but I'm just letting you know that I'm not trippin balls because of a little bit of muscle soreness :p. Thanks for the responses and advice though.

    I didn't realize iifym was an actual program and not just "as long as you are hitting your calories/macro ratios don't over think things"

    Hard for anyone to say if what you're doing is causing back pain unless you post a vid of you pulling, preferrably the same weights you did when you felt hurt after.

    I am going to miss bulking so much. Just ate about 2lb of kielbasa and saurkraut, was supposed to start my cut 2 days ago, but because i'm home and have too many good foods here, I can't count macros without cutting, the gym here is sick and im making too many gains and I was ill for 2 weeks and lost weight then I am going to continue bulking until I move back to London.

    Please give me teh womens advice rhet brah. Got with reasonably attractive girl last thursday, she was clearly miring hard. Texting her a bit and she wants to meet on thursday and she is using dem winky smileys, does she want the d? Problem is she goes to a university, which is not internationally known for its economics department and is a genuine polytechnic, not a pretend one like oxford. She's doing textile design or something though, so maybe she can make me T shirts like charlies gf with silk screen prints of my quads.
