1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Looks like I'll be working out in NYC once a month now for a bit since training will fall on Saturdays too.

This makes me sad man... Probably the #1 reason why I won't go to a big box gym (or any gym) that get's pissy over stuff like this.

As far as DL form... I'm no expert, but it does look like your butt comes up quick and maybe not using a lot of leg drive.

How does one increase leg drive? I was reading a mhedi article where he said keep your head in line with your spine. Or should I just let my hips start higher in general?

It's actually nbd, and more my fault than anything. They have floor mats for that kinda stuff that I just wasn't using. Also, that's not a big box gym, it's a dingy basement gym.

What kind of video are you hoping to see? Squats? Snatches? Cleans? Jerks?

I posted motion pictures from my very first competition in summer 2012. But no one I know has film of my two meets since then, and I have never taken video of training sessions.

If you start with your ass too low on deadlift will it cause your lower back to be prioritized? I wonder if that's what I'm doing because now that I think of it I had my ass super low last time I tried deadlifting, couldn't get it off the ground even and my lower back was really feelin it.

    Guess this answers it:

I like seeing snatches and cleans, makes me super jelly of their form/mobility. Squats are fine too :nodding:

Wouldn't videos of your lifts be beneficial for you? Or you have a good coach that fix your form issues?

you know, this would almost make sense if you said "resistance" instead of "torque".

but anyway, what you gain in natural stiffness, you lose in terms of maximum muscular force because your joints are not optimally aligned.

Yeah, no idea how to do that quickly, I could do it but it would take a long time. I could probably do well on that kind of maths when I was younger if I practiced for it, but not now. I'll probably stay in the UK for a while, but I'd really only do an MBA if my employer paid for one. Can you even do an MBA right out of uni? I thought you needed to work for a while. Got an offer to work for a hedgefund today, not my first choice for what I want to do, but it's nice to know if I don't get into IB right away I have something to do.

Yeah it's all high school math, the tough part is figuring out how to solve the problem using it.

Usually you do an MBA after a couple years in the workforce.

Dude if I got a hedge fund offer I'd shit my pants all over this chair. Wanna go into C-level management, start my own co. or go into the PE/VC space ultimately, though.

Banking would be cool at the VP level or higher

^ Yup, I did 3 rounds of SS I believe. I'm doing 531 now with a lot more upper body work to try and even myself out.

Skeen, I did do a lot of cycling years ago for recreation and commute to work on a daily basis. Maybe that explains it when paired with squat volume from SS.

I have the legs of an anorexic 12 year old girl.
Can hide my thighs with shorts, but my calves shame me every day of summer
