A lot of people's problems are just due to impatience. I think the avg joe can be pretty aesthetic, but it would take years of really good training and diet. Shit takes time.

I don't see the problem with jumping on "dat dere" though. Where do you draw the line? People use EC to cut, BCAAs to train, protein, creatine, etc. etc. Hell people even get test shots legally from doctors if it turns out they are low. So getting a little help isn't too bad. I used to be against it, but now I am kind of for it. I would def consider it if I could just find a reliable source to get info and materials.

i don't disagree with this but i think there is a slight element of ironing at play. at the very least you should be directing your disdain at stupid people, not absolutely everyone who invoke genetics... although i do agree that a lot of people who do invoke genetics are stupid.

Found out one of the regulars at my gym(nice guy, always helpful) broke his neck when he slipped on a net climb on one of those Tough Mudder races over the weekend. Full quadriplegia. Fuck.

Also, surprised no one mentioned it, but Joe Weider passed away last week. First weights I had were Weider's, first supplements were Weider's, first book on weightlifting was Weider's, and the first competition I went to was Weider's. RIP Joe.

Turns out it was a C2 break...meaning the guy will require a ventilator for the rest of his life.

Stories like that make me have even less tolerance for the lardasses who view physical activity as some sort of awful punishment instead of the gift that it is.

Jeez. I wonder how common serious injuries are at things like the tough mudder. Seems like accidents like this waiting to happen.

Goddamn. So unfortunate, I was actually thinking of doing Tough Mudder. I'll stick to 5 and 10k's.

Also shutout to Graphic for helping out a n00b in the gym, fixed my deadlift and squat form.

And hooked it up with some bronkaid haha.
