Is the "if it fits in your macros" philosophy well received here? It's basically what I follow, and what I have followed ever since I started really training.

If you're trying to get strong and pack on mass, I find you've got to follow that principle up to a point depending on what level you're on.

a looong time ago when i still ran like quite much the best thing was the endorphine rush you'd get on long distance (>10-12 km or so), like flipping a switch.

For bulking, hell yes. Towards the end of my bulk I was eating a digiorno meat lovers pizza every night to fit macros.

For cutting, I wouldn't. The easiest way to cut is by eating the same basic things every day with little variation.

Weren't you putting up bigger numbers a couple months ago? Or is that because you weren't doing volume?

I don't think so. Maybe a bit higher when I was reverse pyramiding my squat like 2 months ago instead of pyramiding, but then the higher rep sets would be weaker and I tend to do less sets on reverse pyramids then pyramids for some reason. I'd never reverse pyramid down to 120. From september to december I never went above 140kg because I was only really doing doubles for speed work. I can't remember what I was doing during the summer, I remember i ran smolov right before uni started, but I think I did that with either a 150 or 160 max and made no gains from it because I didn't lift for the first month of uni and in my opinion the gains from smolov are not that sustainable.

I'm looking at Ki Fit now (UK version of BodyBugg) and pretty sure I'm gonna buy it.

Worth getting the subscription service as well? I already use a food scale and Myfitnesspal for logging food.

:slayer: black coffee brahs. im on pot #2, cup #7 for the day

yeah for real, i always just hit that second wind point where you're thinking "fuck this sucks fuck this sucks fuck this sucks *doink* wait, this feels fucking awesome. i bet i can run faster now too *zoom*"

one of the greatest feels ever (beside PR feels) is when that 2nd wind hits at the best part of a fav song. i was running an awesome trail in autumn blitzed out of my head when a breakdown in an amon amarth song played and it was like my brain jizzed or something.

bodybugg requires a subscription...it's useless without one as you can't view the information without it. I'm not familiar with Ki Fit but if you're able to see how many calories you've burned without a subscription then I don't see a point.
