I don't care about that. Running just sucks.
What's that got to do with running?
Err, running = calories burned = cutting
It's either the illiopsoas or the TFL
running sucks for the first 10 minutes and then you get into a zone and you get a pretty sweet endorphin rush afterwards. i'd never take up running seriously but the odd jog here or there is fun. i have a 10k coming up in a month, which i am probably going to regret.
not necessarily. could be referred pain.
When you start getting low BF progress stalls without cardio.
Well.. that's not true. Unless you're talking sub 6%.. and even then, a lot of guys do fine without cardio to get low.
8% is easily attainable without cardio given your diet and training is right.
I'm going for sub-6 and would like to get some endurance before I look like Skelator. Last year I stalled at about 8% without it.
I also have to go to boot camp this summer and would like to show up able to run a couple miles.
Oh yea, for your competition! I blanked on that.
Smoke weed before a run and it becomes amazing.
Too bad it's so cold in NYC
hahaha smoke weed before a run and I wouldn't be able to jog a half mile before I got distracted, especially in NY. I like the cold weather for running with the right gear, when working in Cambridge I used to run the 4 mile loop down around the Charles river at lunch. Fucking glorious lunchbreak.
What's the consensus on how to get very lean, like 8% bf?
Is it enough to eat at a deficit, carefully monitor macros, eat somewhat healthy and use some methods like macro-/carbcycling, IF or CarbNite?
Or do I have to totally exclude some food, like grains, sugar, fatty meats, dairy, etc and start doing cardio?
Eat clean, get lots of fiber, cut down on sodium, drink lots of water.. and, of course, make sure your calories and macros are correct.
Macros are taken straight from Leangains so they should be good. Have dropped 4 lbs in a month with strength gains on all lifts but deadlifts which stalled today.
Does that mean sugary sauces on my steaks are a no-go (a tbs or two)? How much fiber are we talking daily? I currently get about 50-70g on workout days but only 20g on rest days (no carb day). My sodium intake is usually around 1000-1700 mg per day.
