1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Ever since I started going to the gym, I've been doing so as an illegal gymiggrant. An old friend of mine had a pass for the New York Sports Club network that he didn't use, he just bought it on a whim cause it was a huge deal $20 a month for life. He never used it, I started using his membership, no one was the wiser, I even told them I wanted a new picture so when I scan in my face pops up.

It was perfect, regularly this place is $79 a month, and his membership would let me go to any club in the city. Would work out very well cause wherever I was there would be a gym nearby, even used it a bunch of times just to shower after leaving from a one night stand.

Thing is, I hardly talk to this kid anymore, and he let his membership lapse; now I can't get into any gym because apparently he stopped paying his bill. Huge inconvenience, my school gym does not have a squat rack, and the showers suck. Plus having to bring and then carry around a wet towel all day sucks dick.

Thinking of just calling him and telling him to switch the card on the a account from his to mine, and it'll be like my account, just his name on the pass code and shit but who cares. Thing is like I said I don't speak with him at all, I don't think he even realizes I still use his membership. Fuckkkkk

Pulled 300 x 2 hook grip. It's coming a long, doesn't hurt as much. My booty is starting to shoot up though after my first or second rep during sets.

I have found that combining power and hyper benching has helped both move along. Bulk eating too

I just went and had one of those DEXA body composition scans, and thought you guys might be interested that I thought it was very accurate

It put my bodyfat % at 12.1, which seems about right. The machine even knew exactly how much I weighed, just be calculating from the densities.

I'm currently in a 6 month long bulk: I was 72kg back in January, now 82kg

I'd estimate that my bodyfat was around 9% in January, so (9 x 0.72) 6.48kg of fat on me
    I now have (12.1 x 0.82) 9.92kg of fat on me

So 10kg gained total: 3.5kg of fat, 6.5kg of muscle.

I don't know whether to keep going with the bulk, or cut back to 9 and start again.
I don't look anywhere near as sexy as I did back In January (that 3% makes a huge difference), and summer is coming up. Hate cutting though, and I look like I actually lift in a t-shirt now.

that sounds like a very successful bulk. 12% isn't too bad, I'd keep going if I were you.

Well I just got my blood test results back. Cholesterol is through the fucking roof. I gotta get this shit down, but can I do it and still make gains? I have to completely rethink/redo the way I eat. This really sucks

That's what I am having trouble with. I pretty much don't eat red meat. I don't eat fried foods. I don't have a lot of fast foods. I usually have a bowl of Cream Of Wheat for breakfast, and then on lift days I go lift, come home and half about 1.5lb of chicken. Then I have a shake and some high carb + sugar/low fat carb snack like a PB&J sandwich, and I finish the night with something like a bowl of mashed potatoes or some pasta. I don't drink much and we go out to eat maybe 1-3 times a week tops. Granted, the last time I got my cholesterol checked was 2009 and I def had some years of bad eating since then... but lately I have been OK. Not great but not really bad. I think what did it was those years of eating boneless chicken thighs instead of breasts. Those were loaded w/fat and cholesterol.

I am just gonna fall back on unhealthy shit, eat more fish and other good cholesterol foods (nuts, high fiber shit) and monitor my cholesterol. All I can do at this point

The standard response to that is that it's not necessarily about what you're eating, but what you're not eating. Eat more leafy greens and more vegetables in general. Aso try to get a bit more oily fish in

Isn't cholesterol not the only thing to look at? Like fat particles and shit, having the good kind.

I've got great bloodwork, high test and great LDL for being the resident fatty.

Heard a lot of bad things about statins. Plus I need to make the lifestyle change anyway.

a quick wiki of statins tells me there's no point in using them as a primary preventative.

weird. There must be some complex things going on. Cholesterol is certainly not the only factor.
