Really depends how close in proximity you are to either one of the upscale areas or a university. I live really close to my old university and there's certainly a good amount to look at around there. It used to be the case with the bar scene, too, but I can't say that's really the case as much as even a few years ago. I'm not sure where college kids are hanging out around here, but it doesn't seem to be the strip of bars that my fellow college classmates flocked to when I was in school. I'd imagine part of that is because said bar scene is a good 20 minutes from campus and located on the fringe of what's become more and more of an unsafe area.

The cleanliness thing applies to where you are, too. There are some real shitholes - most of Detroit, Flint, Saginaw - but there are some really beautiful (and clean!) areas, too, though they're mostly upstate.

makes sense, i was in troy which is okay. funny how it goes from port huron-ish unkemptness to HOLY FUCKING SHIT GIANT LUXURY SHOPPING MALL in the span of 5 minutes drive. i like the area though, somerset + nordstrom rack + maggianos all close together makes for a good day. only 2 hours drive from my place in ontario too.

was at a red wings game a month ago and stayed at the greektown casino, stuck out like a sore SF thumb. the people mover wasnt bad but man detroit can be unsettling. also, WTF is with not banning smoking indoors. 2 hours at the casino left me dying.

don't seem too much bigger this month, maybe a little leaner, more upper body gains then normal though. Haven't really gotten much stronger because of the SI joint injury.

    Speaking of legs..

Caught off guard 30 minutes ago by a dude telling me I've got running back / rugby legs.

I didn't think my legs were that big but I guess it's cause I see them everyday.

So weak.... between wrist sprain and too much work preventing frequent gym time the past two months, 70% lifts never felt more difficult.

fuji did the hypertrophy work on legs help with your definition? I have some aesthetics (obvious sweep of outer quad and teardrop can be seen) but nowhere near as ripped as you.

Form check. Could have driven elbows down more/ went a little lower.

Edit: did this after an hour of plyo work (jump squats, depth jumps, sled sprints etc)

I'm not sure, I think I just don't store much fat in my legs. If your sub 10% bf your way more lean then me, i'm probably like 13ish percent, don't have proper abs. I'd say hypertrophy work did make them a bit bigger, but I don't think i'm much more lean, i've noticed specifically the tear drop has gotten bigger.
