Yup. Did I read that somewhere or make it up? If so I'm a genius cause that solves almost all postural/pain/weaknesses if you live by that sentence.
In my case, going parallel had little carryover to ATG. I could do 100 kg for 5 with low-bar, breaking parallel style...and could only managed a measly 80kg for 5 with high bar atg.
Conversely,after working on form and whatnot for a while, my ATG is now up to 95kg for 5, and my low bar has shot up to 120-125kg for 5. Doing 2 plates powerlifting style w/o belt feels easy as fuck now.
So I would advise just keep doing normal ATG and work on mobility.

Gym has got a new challenge thing going on, basically powerlifting but your bodyweight gets deducted from EACH of the 3 lifts. At the moment top total is about 280kg. Would feelbadman scoring minus 20kg for bench.
Would be around 260kg...haven't maxed DL in a while though

Ham and glutes on fire today after DL last night, little tightness in lower back. Wonder what I'm doing so different when squatting. Only thing I can think of is that it's easier to squeeze my glutes / ham when DL than squat,
You naturally sit back a lot more on deads than squats, hence you get more posterior chain activation. Try to break the squat at the hips rather than at the knees and shove the knees out to the sides as much as possible. Also, glutes and hams fire at the bottom position of the squat, so make sure you break parallel.
Anyone got anything to say about my form in the vids I posted? Mainly concerned with my front squat.

I also thought your form on everything was good. I would say you need to start adding the plates on and eating a lot.
